Just an update! My son just got the last letter I wrote to him at boot camp yesterday in the mail at A school! He laughed and laughed - I had written hints I had heard at battlestations...
Thanks Lala you were a big help and the ribbons were a big hit!
I am also leaving this group now but if any of you have an problems or questions at all about A-school or anything else I am only a message away. You can reach me by sending a message to me on this site, through my email uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com or through contact us on my website http://www.uniquememorymakers.com/ Many of you also have my cell number so you can also give me a call :-) I hope you and all your Sailors have a plesant A-school journey and get to visit often. There can be some hard times during A-school so continue to be as supportive as you were during boot camp for your Sailor. I wish "Fair winds and following seas" to all of you. Lala
Sesalle, did you see the pictures of the May 18 and May 25 PIR's on the RTC Facebook page? (www.facebook.com/Navy Recruit Training Command) There's a great picture of your husband and the band during the May 18 PIR! Congratulations on your husband's graduation!
ellen0502- My son is @GL for A school also. He is ET what about yours?
Who's daughter is in Pensacola and name is Megan? I have a really good picture my son had taken with her in Pensacola! Just want to share! He couldn't remember what div she came from!
I was one of the lucky ones that got to spend all weekend with my SR. It was great but I am sure by Sunday night he was ready to get rid of his groupies and get back to his routine. LOL PIR was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I cried more during that than when I left him. It was truly great....... Believe me I dont think my sailor will sing anchors away ever again!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!! We just hung out with him and did whatever he wanted to do. He has truly turned into a man. Different but the same all in one. I didnt want to let go of him when I got to hug him, but he said Mom that is enough. Went shopping and took him out to eat. I took him an hour to eat he just took his time and savored it. He was so used to eating in 10 minutes
