Yes, Momship.  As FTLW said...we want to make sure our info is up to date so please post your tips!  And stay on here to help the other newbies if you can!

SharpMom:  YAH!  We welcome you to help us...and any others on here since you are ALL N4Moms veterans now!

PIR was great! I was so happy to see my beautiful Sailor daughter. Wish we had been able to have more time with her but it is great that we will be able to talk to her more frequently now.

Lala, I had a lot of people ask me about the ribbons. I told them about you and your website. I will be back on to help with newbie mom's now that I am a "veteran" mom. Hope everyone made/makes it home safely from PIR. It was great meeting everyone.

Momship - Yes please! We try to keep our info as up to date as possible, so whatever tips you have or if things have changed..please post. If you are not sure...go ahead and run it by one of us privately first!
You...and all the rest of the members on this PIR are now " veterans"...We welcome you!

Once again I want to say thank you to all the veteran moms who help all us newbies.  I am still in awe with PIR.  I have 5 little tips that I would like to pass on to those who have yet to arrive at great lakes.  Just making sure that it is ok for me to post on the upcoming pir groups.

Oh ladies we got the tshirt fold demo too-lol!

Comment by JanRN on May 20, 2012 at 8:23am

PIR was awesome! A wonderful experience for everyone! The bands were great. The only disappointment is we only got to see him Friday until 7pm(he had to be back in ship by 7:30pm and we could go to the airport saturday(got there at 3am and said goodbye at 6am as his flight left at 630.I personally think the Navy should allow liberty for ALL SAILORS until Sunday-it was just not enough time!!!

It was great. An excellent ceremony and a proud mom. Thanks ladies for all the support. I met some other moms whom I told about this website, they wished they knew about it before. Lala: many thumbs up for the ribbons, I directed them to you. We wore them proudly.

What a fantastic day!  And I only cried twice!  Once when they marched in and I got to see my "baby" right in front of me!  And then for some strange reason while they were singing anchors aweigh!  haha!  Maybe just leftover ones!  We had a quiet day and yes!  Watching him fold his t-shirt, uniform - demonstrated how he folds his pillow, etc.  Talked for hours!  Nice early dinner and more relaxing!  AND  his flight doesn't leave until 1:15 tomorrow afternoon, so we get to spend time at the airport with him!  SOO Happy!
