Happy Easter to everyone!  I hope everyone has a fantastic day (filled with a phone call? from our SR's!)!  A big thank you to all the members and the "veteran" mom's who help keep us grounded and full of support!

Have a Blessed Day!

Once those letters start coming more regularly and some calls come in, it gets much easier...so hang in there, ladies!  Some get more calls than others, more letters than others.  That is hard...but just remember...they are well cared for, being fed well, trained magnificently, focused, thinking of family/friends, and being transformed into sailors!  Doesn't take the place of reading their handwriting or hearing there voices, but at least you know where they are and that they are safe!  But it will get better soon...

What a gorgeous and symbolic picture, Momship.  Thanks for posting it!

Happy Easter everyone.  So great to be reminded that our Lord is RISEN!

Good Morning everyone and Happy Easter. Sorry I was MIA yesterday. It was my birthday and my son came home from Charlotte and our two seniors came home from their senior trip to Washington and NY City so I spent the day with my family. I hope everyone has a beautiful day and I hope you all are lucky and get a nice call from your recruit :-)

Still no letter nor phone call :( I hope our sons/daughters will be able to call home tomorrow.  Monday will be two weeks when he left, that evening he told me he would be able to call me in two weeks, I am waiting and hoping.

Sharpmom. Thanks! I have just been so out of it. I'm trying to stay upbeat for my other 2 kids and hubby. But I'm getting snappier all the time. Lol. Keeping my fingers crossed that we will hear from them soon!

FTLW, Love the piks and all the info you post. Thank you so much for being there with words of encouragement. I hope you know how much you are appreciated.

flgirltwo, I haven't received a letter from my SR either. I had a MAJOR mom meltdown earlier. I hadn't realized how much I had been depending on a letter being in the mailbox today until it didn't come.  Now just hoping for a phone call this weekend.  Taking deep breaths and telling myself she is fine and I will have a letter soon. We'll just have to hang tough together and "this too shall pass". Hugs your way and to all the other moms that are going through the same thing.
