Travismom:  Sometimes they take longer than 2 weeks.  If he was one of the first arrivals, he would have been there longer than some others in his division.  Unless he could have sent it out to someone else (?), because they can only mail one out.  If that isn't the case, it should show up soon.

Congrats on the letters received today!

Happy LETTER day in Texas, I think the whole state probably heard me scream when I opened the mailbox.

OMG! Just gotmy first letter and let me tell you all, my gut sinks every time I got to the mail box and I’m peeping out the windows everyday waiting impatiently on our mail lady to arrive.  I just had made up my mind before opening the dang thing today that it would be next week before I heard from him. So I’m standing at the mail box in showdown fashion not really even wanting to open it , stick my hand in eventually and pull out his 1st LETTER!!!!!!

Oh my lord, the heaven’s opened up, the sun shown down on me and me only and I ran (yes RAN) all the way to the house with his letter cradled to my heart. Out of breath like all get out, I gathered Zoe( our dog) on the couch and carefully opened his letter with a knife and began reading.

Says the same thing as Momship12/div13.. rough but making it! I told him about this forum and how much it has helped as well.

I am a little worried. I still haven't received the form letter yet and my son has been gone two weeks. There is someone else I know and her son is in the same division and she received hers on Tuesday.

Thursday was always mail day for me (Miami FL) when my son was at bootcamp!  Happy day!

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on April 5, 2012 at 7:44am

Wednesdays and Thursdays are normally the best days for receiving letters depending on how far away you live from the base. So hopefully many of you will be getting letters today :-)
