Hello Moms from Ship 11/156...  Looks like I may be the 1st mom to chat here... We just got the generic letter with the ship and division number on yesterday.. Our son Mitch has yet to write anything in the box of clothing and the generic letter.  I just want others to know that it is ok that they don't write anything as Mitch said that he is wanting to stay grounded in the reason he is there..  Write/chat when you can and then we can hook up at ..

Hope all have a good Sunday!

Lala, I agree with Dianne about your daughter and the restroom.  I would have been beating my family with a wet noodle, if they hadn't texted me that she was there.

flgirltwo, I was one of the last ones in my group to get the form letter, so I know how hard it is to stay patient.   You can do it!  It will get there soon.

hang in there flgirl, it took so long for my form letter to arrive that I had a real letter the day before it finally came. I hope you get it very soon :-)

Good Morning Ladies! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I'm keeping busy so I don't worry too much about my SR or why I haven't received his formal letter yet! I figure if my SR can be strong, so can I!?! Have a great day!

yep what FTLW said lol, it has been a long long day. I have been up since 4am. Had to get my two seniors to the school for the senior trip. At this point I am a walking zombie lol

We had 13 divisions graduate and we took 4 extra guests and everyone got in :-) Just get there early, first come first serve. I don't think you will have a problem taking extras. Some Sailors only have 1 or 2 guests and sadly some have no one come. If it is a smaller PIR group then you would definitely have no problems :-) And remember no need to put the 11 yr old on the list.

The folks on the Access list are guaranteed entry to PIR...you may bring your guests and they may wait in the Visitors Center until about 8:45...and then room permitting they will be allowed entry. Midway Hall can accomodate 14-16 Divisions and their four guaranteed guests comfortably...LaLa's Sailor had 13 Divisions in her Training Group and she said that all of her guests got in fine. Lots of times when there are less divisions they may not even make your guests wait.

Here is some info from the FAQ on the RTC Website:

Q.

How many guests per recruit are allowed to attend Pass-In-Review?
A.

Recruits are permitted to place up to four names on the access list. Please coordinate with your Recruit as only Recruits may place names on the list. RTC can neither change these names nor release the names of those on the list. Children age 12 and younger do not need to be listed on the access list and will not count toward the maximum number of guests. Active Duty and Retired military personnel will not count toward the maximum number of guests and do not need to be listed on the access list, but must present a valid Active Duty/Retired military ID card. The four guests on the access list will be admitted into the ceremonial drill hall first. Additional guests not on the access list will have to wait inside the Visitor Center until after the start of the ceremony at which time they will be allowed into the ceremonial hall if additional seating is available as space permits. No additional seating can be guaranteed. All guests 18 years and older, must present valid government issued photo identification (driver’s license, state ID card, passport, military ID card). Guests 17 years or younger who do not possess one the items listed above must present one of the following: school ID card, driver’s permit, copy of their birth certificate or social security card. PLEASE DO NOT CALL FOR ADDITIONAL SEATS.

Q.
When will I receive tickets/passes to graduation?
A.

There are no actual tickets or passes. Recruits list the names of up to four guests that will be included on the access list. Recruits cannot obtain additional “tickets” from other recruits.

Q.
I am not sure I am on the access list. Can you find out and make changes if I am not?
A.

It is the recruit’s decision whom to place on the access list. Please communicate with your recruit well before the final week of training to be sure the right names are on the list. The Public Affairs Office does not have a copy of the access list as they names on the list are not divulged to the public. No additions, deletions or changes will be made to the access list the week of graduation.

The Division behind you is just starting to receive mail this last week...so hopefully next week later in the week depending on where you live...Thursday's seem to be a real letter day!
