N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

ChristinaNavyMom,

Oh yea, appreciating Mom's Home Cooking is just awesome!!  :)

Yes, my SR understands they are cooking for a lot of people and can't please everyone's taste buds. He said he wasn't turning any food down, Lol. He uses any condiments on his food as needed. I think he was complimenting me and cooking.....that's what I'm going with,Lol.

Yep, my sailor son would confirm what ellen said below....he too loved the peanut butter packets!  They learn to appreciate whatever they are given, believe me!  They have no freedom there....except for picking their food, and they are hungry!

Congrats on the calls today, ladies!

The food is pretty bland in BC, can't please everyone with flavors, so no flavor is better than the wrong one. Peanut butter packets become the best friend of many a recruit.

Rolling laughter

Yay! I finally get to join the PIR page. My SR called earlier today and confirmed his ship number, division and PIR date. Still waiting on the form letter. He said it has been challenging at times, but he's good. He said the food was ok, it needs help like seasoning, Lol! He wants some real food, whatever that means....probably Chipotle or Chick Fil A! It was SOOOOOOOOO GOOD to hear from him! Countdown to PIR begins!!!

@CatMom509 thanks so much for the heads up, since it helped me to identify the call by 847 area code from my call received by my SR.

WoooHooo I got my call from my SR in Ship 14 Division 190 in the last 20mins. Informed that PIR on 5/29. My SR likes the challenges they are all going through to be the best they can be for the Navy. My SR is doing well and told me the food is really good, which is a good thing for my SR since such a foodie. Just think is only been 10 days since my SR left and I got the privilege today to receive a phone call from my SR. Good start for my day!
