~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

The Weather Widget is interactive. Click the green dot on the top bar and drag it along the to change the time. Click LIVE to go back to current time. Click on the days to change to that day or expand out to six days.

QUESTION:  My Sailor's largest picture, which by the way looks awesome :-) , and his DIV pic have a large scratch/indent mark going from his chin up to his right ear; and in the middle of the DIV pic. it looks like a battle scar even though it is an indention in the actual picture.  I tried calling the number on the receipt that was included in the package my Sailor gave me but it is continuously busy. No ringing tone, just busy signal.  Someone mentioned an email? other way to communicate with the photo studio to see if I can return these and get one without the indention marks? Help!!! Thank you :-)

Good Morning All,  Haven't been on since PIR..We are now in Michigan visiting friends...We only had the afternoon of PIR and next morning at the airport, wasn't enough.  He looked great and there was some change.  He seemed more mature. The best part about being retired is the fact he asked up to come out to see him in A school once he starts getting liberty so we are changing some of our travel agenda to include him....Hope everyone enjoyed their time with their Sailors.

ProudNavyMom#1, such kind words thank you. Did you get my post from earlier? Your son was amazing at the airport and a born leader!  Yes, their group has been separated but according to what my son heard DIV 213 was kept together? I wonder if it's because they arrived earlier that day? Not sure. But it makes more sense for them to intersperse and get to know other Sailors. However there's no doubt their friendships will continue.

Yes they certainly are ProudNavyMom#1!  Mine was born in 92 but it's close enough to 93!!  And they are all friends-that's a good thing!!!  Could be friends for life!
