I'm so bummed that I missed a call from an 847 area code today. It had to be my son because my daughter said she missed a call with 847 area code too. My son has been doing extremely well in inspections and test, but the last time I talked to him, he said I wouldn't get a call till after battle stations. Did anyone else get a call from their recruit on Ship 03, Div 214?
I am faithful that my recruit is fine, I'm just wondering now if anyone else got a call from their recruit today and whats going on. I'm wondering if the recruits from my sons division have found out what day they'll be leaving to their A school Saturday or Sunday after PIR.

jaime:  She should be able to do the "update" on the list, even if she didn't have one yet.  She could do her original one then. This group should be doing that either this week or next week.  Fingers crossed!

Lala,

What a cool-looking dog your Poochie is!  With a blue eye and a gold eye, he has "heterochromia iridum."  My Daina was always fascinated with horses that had 2 colored eyes--alot of Paints have that, so she told me what it was called. :)

Praying he will be fine and it's good to hear that the Copperhead's bite is not as bad as feared.  Thanks Diannep, for that bit of comfort!!

Lala she did not have a change in PIR date, but since she was SIQ on the day that their form letters went out (having an infected ingrown toenail cut out) she did not get to send a form letter.  So we have never received any form letter at all.  My biggest concern is her getting our names on the list (since that was never done and has yet to be done).  Thanks for the response.

 

I am sorry to hear about your fur baby, but relieved to see the post that diannep made.  I will pray for his speedy recovery...poor fella.

Thank goodness just read that Copperhead bites are almost never fatal to dogs (they are considered secondary venomous snakes) and the size of the dog matters.  Being a larger dog and the fact you got to him right away, praying that he will be well!  What a cutie!
