~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Linda thank you for the reminder. My Sailor picked up his pictures before PIR but he said they took two pictures and on the other picture he has a slight smile. I just put it on my to do list to order those pictures. Thanks for the reminder.
My Sailor's official Navy picture came in the mail today! It is awesome, he looks so grown up!
Hello Ladies, I hope everyone made it home safe. PIR was amazing, graduation hall was filled with so much pride and our Sailors looked awesome. Thank you so much for all your help and support to help me get through bootcamp. My Sailor is in Groton, CT, all settled in and he's loving it. I'm looking forward to the next phase of my Sailor's journey.
Leaving this group now. Blessings to your sailors in their Navy futures!
I finally made it back from Waukegan after long delays yesterday. What an awesome group of ladies you have been! I hope you all stay on here and update how your Sailors are doing. I wish I could have met more of you. Jake is settled in at A school. He is at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls. He is rooming with another Sailor from his division and seems to be happy!. What an awesome group of Sailors we have!!!
So glad to have had the opportunity to have this support while our loved ones were going through a really grueling time. Seems like they're all settled into A school and happy. My son is on cloud 9. He didn't know what to do with himself Sunday!! Thanks for the friendships we have developed here. Looking forward to continuing these relationships as our Sailors move throughout their career in the Navy.
imomxfour,
Your Sailor daughter is so beautiful~~ So great that she is together with her brother in Pensacola too. Heartwarming mommy moment to see them together in uniform like that!
