N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Goodmorning ladies :) we are so close to seeing our sailors. And I just have to say I don't know what in the heck I would have done without ALL of you and this site. I have learned so much! Laughed and cried and you all have been here for everything so I just need to say THANK YOU :) a million times.

Today is my husbands birthday! Can't wait to see him on Friday and wish him a big happy birthday in person. Our son woke up this morning and sang happy birthday to his picture! It was so cute :)

Hope you ladies have a great day :) my son and I leave tomorrow morning and will be staying at the navy lodge! See you all soon now ⚓

SoProud:  USO personnel will be at the airports when the sailors/families arrive to direct.  I understand it is pretty chaotic at first and you are not allowed with your sailors until they complete the checking in process.  Many like to be there when the busses arrive though...but I have been told that it may be 4 a.m. before you are allowed with your sailors, etc.

Here is USO info:

So, the final divisions should be calling this afternoon for this group....235/236!  The newest sailors!

Safe travel for those leaving today for GL!

Good Morning!

Good Morning Ladies.  This has been the most emotional 8 weeks of my life.  I swear it was worse than the emotions of pregnancy.  LOL.  With that being said I can not think of a more awesome group to have spent this time with.  Thanks for all the support, words of wisdom and cyber hugs!!!

Thanks for all the info on the gate passes. I was worried I was going to have to be on the phone figuring this all out today. My plan was to meet my Sailor at the airport when the bus pulled in anyways.

Cat mom. It is not really so big. It is 500 ft long. From what I understand BS is pretty realistic. The one I wonder about is the sailors on sub duty. I can't sleep. Nervous about Going for Sam's PIR. Don't feel like I am ready to go.

CO-Twin,

Those are great pics of Steve, the other Sailors, and the destroyer!!  Something for all those destined for sea duty to look forward to.  I wonder how Boot Camp prepared them for the real feeling and motion of being on an enormous sea vessel?
