Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

In the "Infomation From Sarge" page it states that if we remt a car from Enterprise, that we must bring our letter inviting us to the graduation. When do we get this letter, or is it the form letter we first got with the graduation information and password.

zacsfan: I'm a Sailor calls will come starting for this PIR group in a couple of weeks for some divisions, and continuing during the beginning of PIR week.

Has anyone heard if the 935 Division will get to perform off base for the 4th of July? I'm sure there will be plenty of patriotic events that day.

I was just going to comment on the 3 Fridays!!! I am so excited! Has anyone heard from thier recruit? When do we get the "I'm a sailor" call? I get letters- I can't believe how much he has changed- still the same kid but so different- it is hard to explain. I love what the Navy has brought to his life! He is really excited for the weapons this week. I still have moments that I miss him so bad but those are somewhat overshadowed by the excitement of 7/11!!! I can't wait to meet you all at Sarge's meet and greet!

I took Sarge's shuttle to PIR and it brought me to a gate that was about 50 yards from the graduation hall entrance, then you go through a museum on your way into the hall itself. Also, the NEX is quite a distance from the hall. There are Sailors at the gate that greet you and they can bring a wheelchair for you
I believe if you park in the garage, there are Sailors that can fetch a wheelchair for you there too. Let me check with another Navy mom who had to go to PIR after knee surgery too.
