~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

SPC Nuke Husband,
Glad for you that your SR wife is doing so well!! Only 6 more weeks to go!!
mel0331,
I wish we could be there to see what our babies are dealing with!! Something has got to be showing up there with your SR's physical activities to warrant him being thoroughly checked out. He already had his own cardiologist? Praying for him and you, that his optimum health is what matters here. Hoping for the best!! HUGS, mel~~
I just got the first call from my wife today! She's in Ship 14 Div 217 and said she's having a great time. I can't wait to see her!
I am so sorry Mel, I know that is super hard on all of you right now. I hope they get it all straightened out and that he does what is best for him <3
We got a letter yesterday that we wanted to share from our son who left for boot camp on 5/13. He is doing good. He said they feed him 3x a day 4 if they work out the food is good he said. He said it is a lot like Scout camp (he is a Eagle Scout) when he would go away for a week just a lot more rules. He said some guys are having a hard time adjusting he said he is doing good. He said he has made a lot of new friends and gets up every day at 4:30am. He said they keep them real busy. He said they can only write 1x a week but as the weeks go on he said he will get more privileges. He asked about the dog "Duke" and to take good care of him and about his siblings. He said he can't wait to see us in a few weeks. In my opinion not soon enough LOL. He said please write a lot of letters.!!!!! Of course I cried and am was so happy to hear from him! Oh yeah lots of I love you all too:) Sure made my day and weekend. Can't wait for the phone call and to hear his voice....I think i will call his cell and listen to the voice message again!
Welcome to all the new ladies here!!
