N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Sorry I haven't been on yesterday or today. We are now in FL on vacation and I can't use my phone for this site. We were traveling all day yesterday. We got here last night and my brand new computer that I have had less than 2 months will not turn on at all. So, so very disappointed in DELL :( I called tech support and have to mail my laptop to them and wait about 2 weeks to get it back. No idea how they expect a small business owner to work without a computer for that long :( Thank goodness my hubby has his laptop and I can use it enough to get on a little bit each day. If anyone needs me or has any questions please email me at uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com I can check email and facebook from my phone but not this site for some reason :(

Happy Independence Day to all of our Navy family. Just a couple more weeks and I will get to see my daughter and beautiful grand baby :)  I hope you all had a wonderful day and I hope you got to spend it with your sailors or got to talk or FaceTime with them. <3 It is because of their service and those who served  before them that we are able to enjoy days like this with our families <3  God Bless them all!

Babblesnboyz: my son is in 935 too. He has not called either. I have gotten letters but have gotten shorter and shorter. He said they have been very busy. They performed in the last two PIR. I got a glimpse of my son on the July 27 PIR graduation recording on Facebook. Check it out. Last letter said to be ready for a phone call next week. Hang in there. Can't wait to hear from h again!! Happy 4th! Momma Bear

Happy 4th of July!
Only one more week!

Happy for Div 215-216 Sailors! Congratulations.

babblesnboyz: This is all new to me, so I have no idea. Praying you get a good, long call soon.

And CatMom: That is MY scripture for this past year at work and it has been shared with my son during Boot Camp. Thank you. :)

babblesboyz:  Just picture that your SR is now in the "sprint" of this experience....the end of the race give-it-your-all to the finish line.  As we are sprinting, we can't communicate because all of our efforts are going into the sprint!  PIR will make all of what you are going through now worthwhile!

Hang in there!

Happy July 4th to all, honoring our military past and present who have fought/are fighting to preserve our freedom!  Celebrating those who gave their all to get our independence so many years ago!  Enjoy!

You're very welcome, babblesnboyz~~

I agree with FTLW, that your SR, babblesnboyz, had the double responsibility of performing in other PIRs plus doing the intense training and earning their own divisional reward flags for academics, marching, barracks, etc...  He couldn't have made any phone calls during this time anyway, because he is in the "radio silence" period of his training.  A Sailor call is on the way...Only 8 more days left till you see him!!

babblesnboyz - There are a lot of probabilities. The thing that comes most to my mind though is that your son is in the Performing division for his TG. So those in the 900 divisions are extra busy as they have those duties on top of going through BC. They usually perform those duties for the two PIR's ahead of theirs as well as for their own.

Yes, he could've gotten "in trouble"...it happens and restsrictions can happen.

But I am going to pray it is just a time issue.

Please try not worry too much...((((BIG HUGS ))) to you.
