To find out more about giving blood, I think it is ASBP " armed services blood program". Google that and you should get the site with all the info. I think you can call a local base and donate there and have it count, but you'd need to double check on that as I have actually done that.

MamaValley,

That's a great idea to encourage the families of SRs to give blood too.  Is there any info on the Red Cross site on this?  Hope you can donate locally and still get a pic of your SR!

Good Morning - I am wondering... my son sent a letter... was telling me about the blood drive... if I send a picture getting blood drawn then I can possibly get a picture of him getting his blood drawn.  When Jeff originally told us about the drive I looked and couldn't find anything close to Colorado (Texas).  Now I am wondering if I can go anywhere (my normal place that I donate?) and send a picture in... will that work?  Or do I have to be in one of their locations?  I think the drive is tomorrow so if anyone (or if Jeff sees this) has information I would appreciate it!

Thanks!

@MamaValley yeah same here,I can't wait to see my SR.
I always got my letters on Thursdays,he said he only can write on Sundays,I believe they take all mail till Tuesday to delivery.
I was so happy and lucky last weekend he left two voice mail for me,and called me twice.
So finger crossed for letters and calls this weekend from our SR's.

I guess they haven't posted the pics of our guys yet. Thank you for confirming, as I was spending a lot of time looking for them. Also, neither my ex-husband or I received calls on Fathers Day wknd. Did anyone else from DIV 242 receive a call? Thanks, Janie

Danny - my son is in 239.  I have scoured the pictures on FB at RTC but haven't seen him.  I would give anything to see his face… haven't talked to him since the 2nd week… although we do get short letters each Friday.  I definitely  stalk the mailman on Fridays.  After this week… we will see our SRs in 3 Fridays… so much better to count Fridays than to count days… I think!
