Gigi: Don't you mean the Marriott Courtyard? That is near Sarge's MeetandGreet, next to a large Walmart center with restaurants, good area to be in (about 4-5 miles from RTC, 10 min drive). Springhill Suites is right there also and Holiday Inn Express and Residence Inn are right near there also. Did you call the Courtyard directly and ask for the Navy Graduation discount? If not, be sure to do that. Call the direct line to the hotel.
MyGirl: The Navy Lodge, right? Yes, they have great rates but fill up fast so others wanting to stay there need to book now! Book in your SR's name if you don't have military ID. However, if you didn't book in SR's name, they will change it when you check in.
IslandGal: I don't believe there is a hotel right there that is just a Marriott....but.Marriott has Springhill Suites, Courtyard and Residence Inn that are close by. Was it maybe Residence Inn? Many call that the Marriott. My son used to work for Marriott so I know they actually DO have hotels that are just Marriott Hotels, but I don't believe they have them right near RTC?
MyGirl: Asking your SR for names of others who are not receiving mail so you can write to them is a wonderful thing. It has been done in previous groups and the SRs so appreciate it. If you get a name, please don't post it here, but you can post that you have a name of an SR from Div # who is not receiving mail. Ask that others friend request/private message you for the name/address so they can write as well! I have done that in the past, and it is so rewarding!
Victoria: Contact SARGE for shuttle service from the airport:

He gives Navy families a special rate and if you can share one of his cabs with others, it is even cheaper (so ask him!). He is also the one who puts on the MeetandGreet for you the night before PIR.
