diannep,
We do think alike--but I tend to be wordier--LOL!!
LaLaRibbonQueen makes ribbons that you can wear for PIR. They have your Sailors Name and Division on them. Very, very nice :-)
Here is the link to her My Page on this site. Scroll down and look for a link to Unique Memory Makers. Or Friend her and message her.
I know it is "down to the wire"...but she may still be able help you out.
(Hope the link works...on phone)

jodymac2011 Ship 03 Div 220 mentioned getting "her ribbons". Can someone tell me a little about this ribbons.
For those with kiddos...they may want to wear Daddy or Mommy's headwear. Unfortunately, not allowed.
They used to sell male version of the Sailor hat (aka as Dixie Cups) in kid size at PIR for about $5. Any of my fellow veteran moms know if they still do? (I've been off the site for about six months)
There were concession stands at either end of the PIR hall, hope they are still there too. Coffee, drinks and some snacks for sale before PIR.
korymae- That is correct. Thanks for posting about PDA Selah and korymae!
Your Sailor may offer his left arm to escort you (or any female loved one). Just like in "olden days" movies! It's actually kind of romantic I think :-) He offers his LEFT arm and you place your RIGHT hand in the crook of his arm. He may cover your hand with his RIGHT hand (for warmth in winter or a skin-to-skin contact)...but it is still free for saluting.
The reverse is true for Female Sailors...their male loved ones may escort them. Their loved one may offer their RIGHT arm and she may place her LEFT hand in the crook of their arm.
Take advantage of the "freedom" allowed at that first greeting directly after PIR for a "short PDA". I whispered to my son to let me know when to let go!
Me too, Wendy!
