Have to share a funny story my SR shared w me in her letter today. I guess picture day was earlier this week and while the photographer was there he took a few funny shots for the yearbook. My SR is one of the MAIL PO's. So the Chief told her and the other MAIL PO to go grab as much mail as they could carry and bring it back to him. They followed order's and after loading up he told them to stand on two chairs in the center of the room. After they'd reached thier perch he called in all of the other recruits to surround them. The MAIL PO's had to hold the mail up high to keep it away from hungry hands. All the while the photog was snapping pic's. Finally the Chief told them to throw the mail up into the air and you can just imagine the chaos they ensued. A humor break during a hectic week. :)
Rhondi,
Our Sailors are in their Dress Whites at this time of the year!
Christine the "900 Divisions" are the performance division and they perform during their own PIR and the two PIR's before that.
I love Thursday mail delivery! I got a letter from my SR! Sounds good but is anxious for this phase to be over.
WE ARE GETTING SO CLOSE!
How come your SR's are in today's PIR?
Congrats to y'all in Div 936 who saw your SR's this morning. Darn it, I had to work.
I'll be especially happy, happy, happy after that final PFA is done. Oh Lawd!
ps -- i cheated and took a picture of my SR from my phone from the live coverage of the ceremony. He does make a fine looking Sailor!
PIR is amazing and I can't wait to be there in person to witness the phenomenal passage. A special prayer to all my fellow Navy moms/sisters/fiances who are struggling with everything/anything in their lives. May it be weather, health (theirs or family members) or just daily life struggles. Blessings to all of you for the strength to move forward with your head held high and strong. We have a lot to be proud of and to look forward to in the years coming as our SR's move on in this new phase of their lives.
Totally the best feeling, saw my SR as well on the live feed today!! Counting the days!
anybody watching PIR live stream today? GOT TO SEE MY RECRUIT!!
