Congrats to everyone in this PIR group!!  I know there is no dress code for PIR but typically how was everyone dressed?? I don't want to be too under dressed  such an important occasion.

It's been a great weekend. Resting up to get ready to take my sailor back to base and then heading to the airport to take him and my daughter to their flights. He leaves around 7 and she leaves around 8. Then it's a very tiring drive back to Rockford in the morning.

Jumanji,

I think it will be quicker if you just call the Photo Lab at 847-578-6205  to order the PIR 07/18/2014 DVD.  It's $29.00 and is only available the week following PIR.  Precious time might be wasted mailing in the order form~~

What an experience is all I can say!  I loved every minute of it even the waiting before.  It was great speaking with other parents and family members of my sailors DIV!

I loved everything about the whole thing.  The pomp and circumstance of it all!  It was painless getting onto the base and going through the check points.  Very organized and every sailor I spoke with along the way was as nice as could be.  I hope some day people will say the same about my sailor.

MY SAILOR?  I did just say that didn't I?!  I am officially the mother of a US Sailor!

Thanks' to this forum I made it through the 8 weeks without loosing my mind!

My only regret was not making it to the Meet and Greet.  It just wasn't in the cards.
