Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I can definitely say without a doubt this has been the longest 2 months if my life and I can't wait to hold my wife again as a member of the greatest fighting force in the world the United States Military

van1612- I agree, It has been hard not knowing how they are all doing. I keep remembering, "no news is good news", I really miss those calls. Even when he didn't call me it was good to hear a report of how everything was going, Hang in there, 5 days and counting!

Thank you all for the support through this. I know that there is nothing that I can do about this except pray that he can do it. This is all in his hands now, he has to do it he is a man now.

I don't know if I'm the only one but not getting a call the past two Sundays (not in the states here so I'm at a different timezone) is making me really restless. Haven't heard any updates from my SR in awhile. Waiting for 249 to get through BST is a little nerve-wrecking. I can't wait for this 5 days to be over!
