For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Yes it's called.Sarge's Meet & Greet. I think it's at place called Sundance Saloon. You can get there Thursday night a little before 5 pm. Dinner, cash bar, dj, information, pictures, etc. I'm looking forward to going and meeting everyone.

I have a question for the vets of this page. My son is on Ship 14 and I am looking forward to the graduation. I am not as versed in all the acronyms and Navy vocab as others so forgive me if I say something incorrect. I have read there is a meet and greet with the "Sarge" for the parents of the graduating class. I dont want to miss anything, but am unsure where or when this takes place. Can you help? Thank you

Should just add that the I'm a Sailor calls actually come in on the afternoon that your sailor finishes BattleStations (12 hr overnight drill), not in the mornings (Unless you live on the West Coast in which case it is possible that you could get one right about noon). Normally, they start as early as 2pm Central time though. They go on for quite a while....into the early evening sometimes.

The "I am a Sailor" call is a guaranteed call, however, if your recruit has duty it after BS that call may not come right away.
Your recruit is always on track for PIR unless you receive a call saying they will not be at PIR. Those calls are guaranteed, are scripted, and are very short. So the "no news is good news" holds true.
Your "I am a Sailor" call comes in the morning BS is finished, and the division go through in numerical order. Calls should start coming in for this TG on the 16th, and BS is generally/usually/never run on Friday and Saturday night. The brother divisions go through at the same time, and up to four divisions can go through at once.
Diannep, is the person here that keeps track of who is going when, and makes a pretty accurate guess on who will be receiving calls when.
