We didn't get a call i like said earlier but we got a Facebook message....well actually our SR's girlfriend got the message. She came over so we could read it. Our SR said they opened access to the computers so more could make contact. Got all the same info that we've already heard. Even in writing we could sense how excited he was. What a great day for our SR's!

Urabisswife - I'm sorry you missed the call....i know it broke your heart but I think you have the right attitude...trying to be thankful for what we have!

hi ladies!  i was honestly thinking about not getting on. I missed my husbands call by 30 minutes today. in his voice mail he said "i will call again on tuesday dont cry!" i did cry. i cried alot. and i didn't want to get on here and hear all about how you all got calls because it would kill me. i wanted to leave the retreat at noon but we didn't eat lunch until a little after noon so i wanted to hurry and leave but the girl i went with kept talking and talking so we didn't leave till a little after 2 and by the time i got service it was 2:40 he called at 2:11. i was sooo upset. i know it wasn't her fault but i was so angry with her for some reason. but i was thinking about what Gordon had told us this weekend "be thankful for what you have, dont be upset for what you dont" which really hit hard and i was full of joy because i am so thankful i have an amazing husband. and he was able to talk to another navy wife on the phone who i have become really close with her husband is in the same division and he told her to tell me that he loves me and misses me and not to worry about missing my call. but it still hurts. im glad i got on here to read all about your guys joy the phones calls brought you. i can't wait till tuesday so i can share joy with you all :)

Lala, Got my big bag and ribbons. Everything is perfect! Can't wait to show off next Thursday and Friday!

What fun it was to get the call today about 937 winning the Captain's Cup for the integrated divisions. they just have Battle Stations remaining. Tomorrow the choir sings at chapel. My SR was also very excited about that. He said they sounded and looked great at yesterday's PIR! Can't wait to hear them IN LESS THAN A WEEK!

Because he doesn't leave for San Antonio until the weekend after PIR he thought there was a chance he could also spend Saturday with us!

He sounded SO good! Contended sigh......

Got the call from my son. He's on cloud nine. So happy for them to have won Captains Cup. He wouldn't stop talking so I could get a word in. He said this was 1 of the hardest things he's ever done but so happy he hung in there & can't wait till graduation. He misses us so much. He's a mommas boy. He misses his brothers just as much though. He got to talk w them for a few minutes. Almost that time. Just a few days left ladies :)

Dianne, that is so so sad. When you have a child sign up to serve our county the biggest fear is that they will be killed in some foreign land; not in an American Movie Theater. Such a waste of precious life. Please continue to hold them in your thoughts and prayers.

Happy birthday to your hubby FTLW (insert really awesome smiley blowing out lots of candles here) lol

Congrats to the Captains Cup winners. Bravo Zulu!!!!

Got two calls today!!!! They won the men's and the chant! 937 won the mixed division!

On a more somber note, my heart, prayers and hugs to all of those who are affected by the horrible, senseless tragedy in Colorado.

But we are celebrating hubby's B-Day today (I haven't mentioned anything to him - though he may know already and is not saying anything to me!)...so I will "lift myself up"!

aster - No, it's just the Weather Widget peo[ple...giving us something to look at I think!

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on July 21, 2012 at 1:12pm

Oh no, oh no,...and I know that Craig will know him...he worked  at the same place that all the military personnel do. :-(

So senseless...my heart is heavy today.
