iPhone users and actually Android too...just had moms talk about this on BC moms...and would love to look for a solution.

The problem that most are having is that you get an email notification and can't reply through email like you can to FB. You have to log onto the site and then do it. More steps involved.

Is that what you are experiencing?

I have an Android and it is the same but I have never used my emails that way. (Plus, when I first joined I did not have a smart phone at all) Since I "work" on here I need access to the whole site pretty much all day and then I can just hop on. I stay logged in and try to log out at least at night. I use my emails to follow Discussions I have created so I can reply...but I don't follow all of the groups I am on...I would have THOUSANDS of emails!(That's a personal preference...you can change your email notification settings)

But for you who have maybe your PIR group that you are following and your Division Discussion (you may have other groups but have used the Stop Following feature)...this is probably laborious...and so FB is much easier. Totally get that!

Let me know if this is an issue and any other issue and I can compile a list and report it if you haven't already.

I asked this on BC Moms as well:

Would an app for N4M's help the situation?

If so, I can suggest it and see what happens!

ruzy:  Depends on where they are going to A School.  They will use both OHare and Midway.

Hi, Sandy.  Thanks for posting!  BattleStations for this group could start later this week, but with only 6 divisions in this group, they could actually start next week too.  I have only received one date so far and that was 937 (next week).

This Saturday, they all (in this PIR group) will be involved in Captains Cup in the morning.  No BattleStations on Fri or Sat nights....ever.  We can't post actual dates on here.  Must private message them if you have them.  I am trying to keep a schedule so would appreciate you all sending them to me too.  Thanks!

Hi Ladies Sorry I haven't written much, but I read alot of the postings. I printed my gate pass last night and added it to my pile to take as well. I am looking forward to seeing all the crying moms in the bleachers. What a joyous occasion it will be to get to hug our Sailors. Praying for them to pass BS. Will the BS be this coming weekend?

Lala - I have not received my ribbons yet???  I do have until 7/27.  Just making sure they were sent out :) thanks!

Does anyone know which airport our 'Sailors' :) will fly out of for A school?

Comment by OmahaRudy on July 18, 2012 at 1:06pm
Right there with ya, Loriemae! I am the proud owner of a parking pass, though :) not rubbing it Cindy, just happy to have it printed and in my pile of stuff to bring!

A week and a half. I bet our SRs are BUSY! Final days of training, drilling, preparing for BS. The big push to the end is on!

Good morning...nothing really to report...haven't received a letter since last week. Going with No News is Good News....waiting as patiently as I can until the day we leave for PIR :)

UrabissWife, I hope you were able to find some pics of your recruit :-)

Good morning everyone.

Comment by diannep on July 18, 2012 at 8:03am

Good morning all!  I agree with FTLW.  We aren't quite sure how they do the passwords....by division?  PIR group?  It is better to do what FTLW suggested for your SR.  I had to do that when my son was there and had no problem getting the new password.  Also, your SR will have the new password or can find it out so be sure to ask.

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on July 17, 2012 at 6:03pm
Umm...you shouldn't share the password. It's confidential. I know it seems strange but that is what is on the form letter.
To get the new password you will need your old one ...they may ask you info about your Sailor. They being PAO. Here is the number:
