ruzymommy: What a great letter!  And great that she is a "stick!"  Did she tell you what flag she will be carrying at PIR?  They will start practicing for that soon.

Won't be long now for this group!

Good day all!  I have been busy getting ready for and having a HS graduation party for our youngest this last weekend.  Our SR has been having a really hard time not being able to celebrate this with us or help out at the graduation :(  Our HS graduate has been having a hard time with it too :( but we got through it!  I just keep telling our SR that we understand.

Our SR is so thoughtful that before she left, she arranged to have flowers delivered to me (mom) and the HS graduate (her sister) with a personal note to each of us that she wrote out before she left.  Needless to say, both me and my daughter had tears flowing!

Then I was so busy on Saturday that at about 10pm I said to my husband, OH I never got the mail today.  He said, maybe we got a letter from ____.  I said no, we just got 2 the other day I doubt there is another one...Guess what!  Yep, a letter from our SR!

The letter was dated 7/10.  She said they got their second round of shots today.  (OOHWEE!)-her exact words!  They got their ID cards today.  She said they had haircuts too.  (Mine is still short enough thank god!)-her exact words!  She said she is still a stick???  She said they didn't do so well at drill inspection but they still flagged.  Which she says means they get to carry a flag around when they march.  She said they have gotten all of them (flags).  She made sure to tell me (because I am a freeze baby) that the drill hall is very very cold.  She said they have special seating for the 900 families.  I think most of us know this but she went on to say that because they aren't standing with all the other divisions (because they perform) don't worry when you don't see me right away.  I have to come out the center doors.  She said they were able to order division sweatshirts and t-shirts.  They get to look at their pictures and order them tomorrow (7/11).  Sorry so long...just wanted to share!
