yes, that's correct, johun.  Captains Cup is always the Saturday before PIR so it will be a week from today.  A very fun day for them!

If you hear a specific day that week when they will be doing BattleStations, please let me know by friend request/private message.  Can't post them on the board here.  Thanks!

My son called today--is in Bootcamp Heaven (its a reward of some sort and was very happy about it) and asked him about BS dates.  He said they will be the week of graduation, but didn't know exactly which day.  He thinks Captains Cup is next saturday the 21st.

Time to familiarize yourselves with BattleStations and how they do them.  Be sure to read the BattleStations discussion above in the Forum!

Urabiss:  The bathrooms at PIR...some of the sailors will use them before PIR and you may have a "chance encounter" with your sailor back in that area.  So pay close attention to that map!  :-)

BattleStations for this group could start late next week and continue during PIR week.

However, with just 6 divisions, they may do them all during PIR week.  Please be asking your SRs for their BattleStations dates.  Friend request/message them to me as I'm keeping a schedule.  So far, just have a date for 937.

Thanks, Lala. You know, you cant go wrong with cash and gift cards! And they are easy to store and transport!

Another great gift for them if they have a computer is a CAC reader. It allows them to access their military records and info from their own computer. Otherwise they would have to do that through a US Navy Base computer.

ruzy, sometimes members who had PIR will come to this site and post pics of the preforming division so other members can see a pic of their recruits. Then you would get that chance if you recruit is one of the performers. And sometimes if we see pics on facebook that could have someone from this PIR group in it then we will copy and paste it here.

There are a few items that you can give your Sailor that they would be allowed to take back to base with them. They can have a watch, must be black or silver or a combination of the two not yellow gold in color, they can have a crucifix, must be smaller than their dogtags. They have some really nice ones with Jesus on an anchor instead of a cross. You can also give them gift cards or cash that they can keep in their wallet. I'm not sure if they can take the challenge coins back to base with them but I don't think they can. maybe someone else will know for sure.

OmahaRudy-I thought I read somewhere-no presents to be brought in to PIR but not why give him something back at the hotel??  I could be totally wrong :)

DUMB QUESTION ALERT FROM ME...Is there anywhere other than the Navy FB page to possibly see our SRs???
