Thanks Ellen- I had the count right, but wasn't clear on BS and the dates. I was thinking it was at the end of week 7 and PIR is week 8, but I guess it just depends on long they go through the in processing and when their Week 1 started.
OhWendy: I can't give you exact days that div 229 is on because I don't know, but let me give you an example. If today is the beginning of week 5 for Div 229 t it would be week 5 day 1, Wed 5-2, Thurs 5-3 come Friday it would be week 5 day 4, Saturday and Sunday are not training days so they are "not counted" making Monday July 16th week 5 day 5, Tuesday would be week 6 day 1, and so on.
This TG had also had a holiday in the mix of counting so that gets a little more confusing since that day also does not count. You are not a "ding dong" as you put it, it is just a new way of counting, and can be confusing especially when their may be some guessing as to exactly which training day they are on.
This would put BS in training week six (the week prior to PIR)and PIR to the end of week 7. I hope that clears it up a little for you.
Why does it feel like the weeks aren't adding up? PIR is 7/27 and Div 229 should just be starting Week 5, if I am counting right from my SR last letter. Isn't Battlestations the week prior to PIR? Does that mean it could be July 16th-19th, with Captains Cup on the 21st? That doesn't seem right. If that is right, then Friday of PIR would be Week 8 Day 2? Maybe I am a ding dong and not counting right. Can someone help with this?
Thanks but I found the link thanks to OmahaRudy on the PIR 7/27/12 Div 937 page!
Thanks OmahaRudy!
No letter for us yesterday :( maybe today! It makes the drive home from work that much longer! Then I hate it if anyone else gets the mail before me...HA!
Ok so I am new to all of this and...Just recently signed up with FB to possibly see our SR's pictures 'if' they perform. I am in the Navy Mom PIR Friends and 7/27/2012 (DIV 227-230, 937) groups. Where do we need to go to possibly see pics...thanks!
UrabissWife I understand about u being upset that his mom isn't going. I 2 was faced w/a similar situation. My son's grandfather decided not 2 go. I had told my son b4 he left that he wld get 4 names & if he wanted 2 he cld leave his stepdad (my husband) off of the list so that he cld include some1 else if he wanted & 2 not feel bad about it. This is his day & we all just want him 2b happy. I wrote my son last wk so he probably didn't get it until late in the wk or this wk that his grandfather wasn't coming but my husband can if he wants. I haven't heard bk from him on this yet but hopefully that will b the case. This is such a monumental day in these mens lives & I don't understand what cld b so important as 2 miss it. I guess somethings cld b but every1 is different. Don't think ur alone on this 1. I totally understand as I know my son is going 2b hurt as i'm sure ur husband will b when he gets the news.
Glad 2 hear some others got letters!! These men don't understand we r looking 4 them just as much as they r.
Hope every1 has a blessed & happy day :)
Good Morning :-)
Good Morning, everyone!
loriemae: i hope you get yours tomorrow also. i can't stress the fact enough to my husband that i understand he needs letters so i send soo many but I also need letters so get by. I dont think they realize how much it lifts us up to get that little envelope in the mail :)
i told him i didn't care if he just drew me pictures :)
maybe i will try to send him one of those questionnaires , but make it my own . see how much he remembers about his wife he left home :P
