thank you all . Yes God was with me. My angle was watching out for me :) thankfully nothing happened :) i would have dumped out the can but my dad told me to wait until the swelling went down just in case b/c even a little spark and it would have gone BOOM!! its still sitting in my sisters back yard in the shade lol. i wish i could just throw it away. i was sure to write my husband and on the very top i wrote DEATH BY EXPLOSION lol im pretty sure he was like WHAT!!! hahaha

lol i always heard God created man, then realized He made some mistakes, thats why he created us :P

i can't believe how close we are getting!!! i get the butterflies thinking about seeing my husband again :) the past two nights i have had dreams about the PIR last night was funny. i was sitting on the wrong side of the room so i got up to go across the room and as i got there the door was opening and i dove onto the crowd to take pictures hahaha. it was great!

I got a letter today to! i ran to my mail box as soon as i read your comment! and sure enough there was a letter in there. my cheeks still hurt a bit from smiling sooo much! he says everything is going great. he got his dress whites he says "and i look good in them" hahaha. he said its hard to write not because its the same stuff every day so he doesn't know what to write. I replied to him and told him i didn't care if he repeated himself as long as i got a letter from him. he has become really close with one young man there. he wrote me and said " you should text ______ GF he loves her to death" and wrote her number i was thinking in my mind "YEAH RIGHT im not texting her....awkward!!" and sure enough i kept reading and he said " Just do it" hahaha its like he knows what im thinking! lol it made me laugh. I ended up texting her ,which was still awkward . haha. but we have been talking a bit. its nice to know someone who knows someone who is close to my husband :) .
he also said they get to send letters more often now, but i think he thought that b/c they got to send the on the 4th.The 4th was his birthday....very hard for me....but he wrote and said it wasn't too bad. they got to eat salmon and apple pie and his favorite corn bread lol. he sounds happy in his letters, but hes constantly tell me how much he misses me. i send him pictures with every letter. he says he likes the pictures of other people (like our family members) but he really only wants pictures of me. ahhh good thing this PIR is coming soon b/c im running out of photos :).  he says he is loosing a lot of weight but eats sooo much. i told him its b/c they do endurance and not muscle building exercises. I also told him not to get too thin or when he gets home im going to put on my betty crocker face and get some meat on his bones :)

so venting a  bit : my husbands mom texted me a couple days ago and told me she was going on vaca the 25-29 of july. in my mind i was like really!!! b/c she isn't going to his PIR. i mean yes i want him all to myself, but still to have his family there to support him is so important. if it were me id be so upset if my mom didn't come instead she went on vacation. even if money was tight splitting the cost on top of the discount i get or even just splitting the cost of gas to drive down there. i would totally do everything i possibly could to get her there. im so upset. im not going to tell him she is going on vacation . im just so frustrated !!! blahh...

im at my moms for a few days taking care of her dog, and there is nothing to do here. so im depending on your lovely ladies to keep my entertained

It's so funny reading everything on here 2 me. I've always thought of myself as a tom boy but I guess I was wrong. I have already purchased a new dress 4 the graduation. I guess most of us r having the same ideas. I still have 2 book my rental car though. Working on that today & tomm.

I was graced w/a letter today. My son had told me they wld b getting something special on July 4 & I guess they got 2 write early. He says " I get to write so I chose to write to you". He is excited that they got 2 do "livefire" on Thurs. 7-5-12. He is enjoying all the letters he is getting so much. I write 1 everyday & I know some family has written some here & there. I asked in a letter about the things he wanted us 2 bring up & his reply is priceless....he says "basic crap.. phone, clothes, IPad, & visitation time.LOL.". I'm glad he hasn't lost his great sense of humor. He said hopefully they get a call either 5-5 or 6-5 (wk-day). He told me how the days have bn going there. He says they get up @ 3:30 2b ready @ 4:00. @ 4:10 they r on the grinder in mass formation marching 2 freedom hall 4 the PFA. @ 4:30 PFA starts in an 80degree building that's dry. @ 7:00 they r done & march bk home. 7:30 they get chow. 8:10 bk 2 barracks & shower/clean. 9:30 class till 10:30 then it's lunch. @ 11:30 they start a 4hr inspection WTI/PI. Get done w/that & more classes till 18:30. Then it's off 2 dinner. 19:30-21:30. Then TAPS @ 22:00. Plus some "IT" here & there through out the day.  He did say they start playing @ graduations this wk & 4 me 2 keep a look out 4 him. He told me exactly where he wld b standing. He's lost18lbs so far. He said it's super hot there 110degrees on the 4th. I was telling him how hot it had bn here in GA. He's super excited abot graduation coming up in 3wks & he says "to be honest I will probably cry, so just a heads up :)". He's a mommy's boy.haha. I'm so glad I got a letter early. I was counting the days down until Thurs. but I was pleasantly suprised. Hope u other ladies get 1 & I can't wait 2 meet all of u in person!!

Aster - I was thinking about buying a new outfit too. All I have are business clothes for work and casual stuff...I need something fitting for such a prestigious event. I will probably go shopping this weekend.

I am so glad for those going this week and of course next week too....its all so exciting.

And remember for those in the 937 our SRs will be participating in the 7/13 and 7/20 graduation....so check out the graduation pics on the RTC facebook page...you may see your SR

Today I will make reservations for my rental car...tomorrow I am shopping for a new dress!

As I was getting ready for this morning I thought about how I only have to do this two more Mondays then its our PIR week!!!!!!! I don't want to get ahead of myself but getting so excited!

I'm PIR 08/03, sorry I should have stated that.  I asked the question in our PIR group with no response so I posted here also (I joined this group before I knew my PIR date).  We have 11 divisions, so I was concerned.  Thanks for the input!

Also, they should get a chance before PIR to update the list. if you gave him a name to add he will know which names to put on the list when they update it. Mt daughter said they updated the list about a week before PIR.

With only 6 divisions you should not have a problem getting in any extra guests you want to take. Every recruit there could bring their 4 guests plus 4 more and still have room for more :-) All you have to do is take them in with you. When you check in you will give them the names and ID's for the extra guests. I doubt they will even make them wait until everyone on the list is seated. Take them, you will be glad you did. We had 13 divisions and we took 4 extras with us and they all got in with no problem at all :-)
