Urabiss:  Wow, the Lord sure was with you on that.  God bless your Dad for his wisdom in finding it and knowing it was dangerous.  So glad that all are ok!

Welcome home, Lala!

Hello everyone! today was a scary day !!! ill tell you all about it in just one minute !!

but first off i want to apologize for my post before. i was really upset on top of everything that has been going on , so i emotionally exploded :/ for that i am sorry.

my husband will be going to FL for A school . when i looked online and on all of his papers it says that there are 4 weeks of school then another 2 weeks of something else. so idk. but i will be so grateful if it is only 4 weeks. those extra 2 weeks do make a huge difference that is for sure.

thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. Today i wasn't feeling well at all. but i still get up and get going just because i can't just sit around and do nothing. i am a busy body. unlike my husband if he just has a little cold you'd think the world was coming to an end lol i tease him about it all of the time :) any of your husbands/sons do the same thing? i think basic really changed that b/c he told me he had to do is PF while he had a flu and congested. lol he's becoming tough ;)

ready to hear about my scary day!!! God was defiantly with me tonight without a doubt!! so around 9 pm i went to go over to my dads to help his GF clean out her storage unit. well i smelt what i thought was propane or gas but i thought maybe it was just outside or something. so i rolled down my window and drove over. well 2 hours later when i decided to go home b/c i did not feel good at all. i got into my car to drive off and it smelled so bad . so i asked my dad to come and see what was wrong with my car if it was leaking gas or something. so he quickly went to my car and told my nephew to stand back (i've never seen him so worried) he got into my car and told me there was something very bad going on with my car. he said "If i would have driven off and lit a cigarette this car would have blown up!" i told him i didn't know where it was coming from b/c i didn't have any gas nor propane in the car at all. and He told me is was not good at all. so i popped the trunk just to make sure there was nothing, and sure enough there in the back of the trunk in the corner was a gas can. (my husband always has to have a gas can just in case lol) it has expanded so big it was almost completely round. my dad was awestruck. he very carefully took it out of the trunk and laid in on the ground. he told me that is was ready to explode! i was almost in tears. to think that even a little spark could have caused my car to blow up and to think that i has my 4 yr old niece in the car earlier that day along with my friend and her 2 yr old little girl. God was with us all today and for that I am extremely blessed. I rode with all my windows down back to my sisters and took the gas can out and placed it as far back away from the house as i could until the morning so i can move it to a shady spot. my dad told me "next time you write your husband you tell i got a couple of these waiting for him" (as he smacked that back of my head) lol in a joking matter that is.

i will be sure to write my hubby and tell him how I WAS RIGHT about not needing a  gas can everywhere we go :)

all in all i am very blessed to be sitting here in bed sharing my story with all of you ladies. Thank God <3

i hope you all have a wonderful blessed weekend!

sorry it is so long, lol but i had to share with someone :P

with love,

A sailors Wife

Just letting everyone know I made it home safely from vacation. It is always so welcoming to cross over into the mountains of NC and see everything look so green and alive. Glad to be home, excited to sleep in my own bed and happy to get back to more time on this site :-) I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. If anyone likes facebook and hasn't joined this group yet please check it out. there are a lot of members from several different PIR groups looking for others with recruits in their division. https://www.facebook.com/groups/327167160695549/

Good morning all!

Loriemae-good for you hitting the motherlode!  It is always great to see a letter in the mailbox but 4!  regarding you comment on the waterproof mascara-I have already been thinking about not wearing any makeup!  I think about hugging and hugging and hugging!  (Don't want to get makeup on her uniform!)  Sad that I think of these things way out before PIR!

urabisswife-so happy to hear you got 2 letters and 1 of them 7 pages long!  wow!  Sorry you have not been feeling well.  You are on my prayer list :)

Hope everyone has a fantastic week-end!  Now I have to log off and get something done!  I could be on here all day!

And UrabissWife:  As far as him changing for the better, absolutely!  It is amazing...so many on this site worry about the change affecting who they are.  But it doesn't....it is just a wonderful maturity in them.  You will see!

Comment by diannep on July 7, 2012 at 10:35am

Urabisswife:  Is he "undesignated"?  If so, they stay at GL for 4 weeks, then get leave, and then are sent to a ship.  Hope you feel better!

Loriemae:  Congrats on such great letters!  Sounds like he is doing wonderfully!

Omaharudy - 6 more weeks for A school...ouch! My SR did say something about going to C school now too which is new....so who knows. Guess we will find out soon enough.
I think I understand the emotional roller coaster....I've avoided going through my S's bedroom because of the emotions but I need to do it soon! Where is your SR going to A school?
