We got 3 envelopes in the mail yesterday!  1 was her insurance/contract information.  1 was a written letter and the last was the form letter I sent!  It is funny because the written letter was dated 6/26 and the postmark was 7/2...In her letter she did mention her A School being 20 weeks.  In the form letter she said she was on day Week 3 Day 2.  She also put about 7 names down as new friends...Wish I could throw the names out there!  She started out her letter saying "Gosh I wanna say that there is nothing really going on, but the truth is that there is lots but I just turn off my brain most of the time and forget that I'm here."  HA the form letter was great!  The last question on the survey is:  What I think about Boot Camp surveys-her reply-My mom is a hoot and more recruits need a mom like her! And she added...My mom is crazy!  21 Days ladies...and dads and wives and husbands and brothers and sisters and ALL LOVED ONES!

We got another letter today, too! This one specifically to his dad. Didn't stop me from reading it first, tho! It was fun because he was clearly responding to the things my husband had written.

They got their high and tight haircuts. My SR says it accentuates his white hairs. I wonder where that comes from :-o He said now if their military bearing and marching looked as good as they do they'd be set.

He's already planning his leave after his 20 week stint in San Antonio. That will be CHRISTMAS! He always said he'd see everyone at Christmas and perhaps he's right!

They're getting into a rhythm with their letter writing, I bet everything else is falling into place, too!

I got a letter today but it was very short. He had watch & didn't have much time to write. I told him to just read all the letters that I & everyone else have written & if he's not to tired to write back but if he doesn't want to it was fine. He sounded so happy to be getting a letter from me everyday. He keeps the latest w/him in his pocket. He said that the week seemed so long & he wasn't looking forward to "hell week" (this wk). His last words were i've got 26 days left. He sounds so home sick as we are.

I would like some ribbons also Lala message me w/the info. Thanks!!

diannep the empty envelope was to funny. they must be so tired.

Hope everyone had a happy and healthy 4th of July!

Received 2 envelopes today! One was empty  LOL! and the other had a short note!

Said so much is happening he can't keep track of when it is happening, and he doesn't want to count down the days!

Wants to say hello to everyone and hear exciting news!

Well, even if he isn't counting I am and it is now 21 days!!!  Hooyah!

Also, ordered my ribbons from Lala and can't wait to show them off!

everyone please keep coming to this page. There are moms and other members who don't "do" facebook and they will be looking for support here. Some of them are here just reading posts who are too shy to post anything their selves so they rely on what they read here to get them through this experience. If you want some great facebook groups here are the ones I have seen the most activity on. Also remember some group are closed and some are not. You should never post any private info or ship movement, Sailor travel details on any page or group no matter if it is private, closed or open. Always be safe and keep your Sailor safe.
