Haha, I was thinking that he played the "bass" and I couldn't remember seeing anyone do that at PIR.  lol

Loriemae, they are sweet memories.

diannep - lol...but understandable....actually when I was typing it I thought of the fish too.  My father was a diehard Bass Fisherman.  I used to go with him all the time...great memories!!  Another connection is that my father was career Air Force...I grew up an Air Force brat...moving every 3 years...loved it.  My SR had a special connection with his grandpa before he passed...one of the many reasons I think he went the military route.  Funny how life connects in so many ways.

Good morning all!

Loriemae:  To show you where my mind is, I read your post: " He's a bass"---and was thinking you meant the FISH!  UGH!  Too many fishermen in my family...should have read the posts below yours talking about the choir...then I would have know what you were talking about!

Lala - thanks...I agree....sweetest musical sound.  And with my SR being a BASS makes it a little easier to pick out his voice over the others...I'm sure Omaha would agree!  Can't wait....but i'm trying not to get too far ahead of myself and  taking it one day at a time...savoring each milestone...like yesterday's phone.  I'm still on cloud nine.

Hearing your Sailor sing with the choir in front of all those people and you can hear their voice and recognize it its the sweetest musical sound on earth.

Omaha - he is a bass.  I can't wait to hear them too!   I know they said they aren't sounding too good yet...might be partly due to all the colds!! ha ha   I honestly won't care how they sound...I just love to watch and hear him sing.

Comment by OmahaRudy on June 22, 2012 at 10:31pm
Lorirmae, my son is a bass. Is yours a tenor or bass? I can't wait to hear them. Even though he's got a cold and is tired, he still sounded good. Misses people.....

Was so good to hear the tone of his voice when he talked about the good guys he's getting to know.

Lala, enjoy your vacation and I hope you have a great gathering.

Omaha - my SR is in the choir too and he said the same thing.  He said he wasn't going to tell us about the choir so we would be surprised at the graduation!!!  He decided against it so we would know where to look for him.

He also said to keep the letters and cards coming!
