I think the ladies in this group have been "hijacked" by FB! We better go get them! :-)
Hope everyone is having a great afternoon today.
Good Morning. I didn't get to log on last night when I got home from work, so all of the post gave me a good laugh this morning with all of the camp stories. Lala, have fun on your trip and Happy Anniversary.
Good morning ladies!
Wish I could come, too. I cant wait to meet some Navy wives and Moms 7/26 and 27!
Have a great time, Lala. I'm jealous and wish I could come.
lol, when they first started looking for us we didn't know it was "US" they were looking for lol. We were almost kicked out of Christian camp.... not good when the very nice church members had paid our way there. But we look back and laugh about it now ;-)
If anyone in this group lives within driving distance to New Port Richey FL (surrounding areas include Holiday, St Petersburg, Clearwater etc I will be there on vacation and I am going to have a get-together for all of my navy Mom friends who would like to join us on Wednesday afternoon/evening. I will have goodies/food and we can all sit around (or in if you prefer) the pool and just have a fun time getting to know each other and talking about our recruits and Sailors. If anyone is in that area and would like to join us please send me an email and let me know. My hubby will be away on a fishing trip and we were gonna do it Monday because he wants to be there but that is our 1st wedding anniversary <3 So, I would love to have you join me and others and you will get to meet my Sailor as well :-) The date is Wednesday June 27th. If you would like to meet but that afternoon or evening isn't good for you let me know and we will set up a another time while I am there :-) I am so excited to meet some of my navy Mom friends!!! My email is uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com
Haha, OmahaRudy, I understand that one. My daughter rode for years.
Lala, that's hysterical! Why can I see you doing that? lol
I remember being at camp for 2 weeks when I was a kid and never once was able to call home. I don't think I really wanted to lol. I was having too much fun. Okay there was this one time my last year that I "had" to call home. Me and a friend left our beds and cabin after the college councilors thought we were all sleeping. We hid behind a canoe and watched them at a campfire with their boyfriends at a bonfire and someone reported us missing. We were afraid to come out of hiding and they thought we drown. Silly of us but so much fun. My dad wasn't real pleased lol.
