Five people?  Well, unless they have upped the list to 5 names instead of 4, not sure about that....just know that the extras will all get in...especially if this PIR group stays at 6 divisions (once RTC confirms) as we think it will.  No worries!

Thank you all, I will talk with my dad tomorrow...our recruiter told us 5 people get to go...so my dad was disappointed when his name wasn't on the list...he will be very happy, he is so proud of my son...  :)

I LOVE all the help and feedback from everyone! Thank you! Thank you!

My sons PIR was 5 divisions, there was plenty of room.  I would also say make sure those on the list are the ones who "need" to get in. Tell your recruit if you have someone that is a "need" to get in.

I say need meaning I would not have left my 80 year old mother there to stand by herself waiting to get in, walk by herself, find her way in and find us.

I had him leave me off because I was the best choice, I knew where I was going, what I needed to do and had no doubt in my mind I would be there. My mother (80 years old), my brother because he was coming separately from us, my oldest to help my mother, and my ex because he is from Long Island (enough said...lol) were the listed guests.

They do have the opportunity to changes the names from the form letter for who will be coming to PIR sometime a couple of weeks before PIR.

Like Lala said each recruit could bring 8 and not have an issue getting in.

You definitely have your own lingo, FTLW!  You keep me entertained with your "spin" on words!  So, these "smart" phones aren't as "smart" as they THINK they are, right?  :-)  I have no excuse...I post from the computer so when I make a spelling error...it is just ME and my fingers who are at fault!

"gahs"? ..."gets".... ;)

aster:  I agree with FTLW and Lala.  Bring him!  He will get in.  He will so enjoy this ceremony.

Happy Fathers Day to all...whether honoring your fathers/husbands personally or in memory, give thanks for them today!

aster, like FTLW said there is no way to add someone to the list. Just take him with you. He should get in without any problem at all. I can't even imagine anyone having to wait at all with this small group. If every recruit had 8 guests instead of 4 there would still be room :-) So take as many as you can and surprise your Sailor :-)

Good Morning everyone and Happy Fathers Day to all our wonderful Dads out there.

I really hope that RTC gahs the PIR info up for this Group on Monday!

There are no passes for PIR....just the names on the Access list (which are on a list at PIR). Your SR filled this in on the Form Letter but will have a chance to finalize this list a week or so before PIR.

When you bring extra guests above the four...they are advised that they will wait in the Visitors Center (the USS Yorktown)...until about 8:45 and then, space permitting, will then be allowed into the PIR hall.

The Drill Hall can hold up to 16 Divisions. The highest we have seen is 14...the only time that RTC has issued a statement that extra guests may not get in.

LaLa's had 13 for her Sailor and she brought extra guests and they all got in!

So, you can write your Recruit and coordinate with him who he wants on the Access...but I agree with Lala...with this small of a TG...should be no problem. I have even heard that with smaller PIR groups like this one that the extras have not even had to wait.

Here is the official "stuff" from RTC website:

Q.
How many guests per recruit are allowed to attend Pass-In-Review?
A.

Recruits are permitted to place up to four names on the access list. Please coordinate with your Recruit as only Recruits may place names on the list. RTC can neither change these names nor release the names of those on the list. Children age 12 and younger do not need to be listed on the access list and will not count toward the maximum number of guests. Active Duty and Retired military personnel will not count toward the maximum number of guests and do not need to be listed on the access list, but must present a valid Active Duty/Retired military ID card. The four guests on the access list will be admitted into the ceremonial drill hall first. Additional guests not on the access list will have to wait inside the Visitor Center until after the start of the ceremony at which time they will be allowed into the ceremonial hall if additional seating is available as space permits. No additional seating can be guaranteed. All guests 18 years and older, must present valid government issued photo identification (driver’s license, state ID card, passport, military ID card). Guests 17 years or younger who do not possess one the items listed above must present one of the following: school ID card, driver’s permit, copy of their birth certificate or social security card. PLEASE DO NOT CALL FOR ADDITIONAL SEATS.

Q.
When will I receive tickets/passes to graduation?
A.

There are no actual tickets or passes. Recruits list the names of up to four guests that will be included on the access list. Recruits cannot obtain additional “tickets” from other recruits.

Q.
I am not sure I am on the access list. Can you find out and make changes if I am not?
A.

It is the recruit’s decision whom to place on the access list. Please communicate with your recruit well before the final week of training to be sure the right names are on the list. The Public Affairs Office does not have a copy of the access list as they names on the list are not divulged to the public. No additions, deletions or changes will be made to the access list the week of graduation
