We will miss you OmahaRudy, don't work too hard :-) If any questions come to mind make a list and post them when you get back. We are here waiting for ya!!!

Betsy, I am not much of a football fan. I love watching the game but never got in the pro games that much. I have twin brothers and they were ALWAYS Cowboy fans and i hated the Cowboys lol. I pulled for whoever was playing the cowboys lol. So I have been a Fan to many many teams lol. I even made crying towels for them during superbowl time when we were growing up. One year I was a Steelers fan and another a Redskins fan, also pulled for the Dolphins once and the Patriots a few times lol. If I had to pick a team I would have to say Da Bears :-) I knew every word to the Superbowl Shuffle lol :-)

OmahaRudy, we will still be here waiting.  Have a great week!

Dianne,  Wow, I can't believe it's been 10 months already.  I remember when you were talking about your son moving back home.  Why does time have to fly by so much lately?  I had never thought about the transition back and forth like before.  I'm sure it was hard to get used him living there again, especially after having the place all to yourself.

Lala, that is funny about everyone not liking the Yankees.  lol  You should plan to come to Maryland and go to one of the minor league games.  The Ripken were instrumental in building the stadium for them.  So, how do you feel about the Steelers?  That's Baltimore's biggest football rival, lol

It's Monday morning -- that means I'm back at work and won't be able to talk with my friends on N4M as much :(

Thanks so much Dianne, I wish I had been here longer than you just so you could have had ribbons from me as well :-) Here is the link for my facebook page and my website. http://www.uniquememorymakers.com/

Betsy, not being a baseball is fine, we can handle that. And don't you just love that no matter what team is your favorite they all hate the Yankees, except of course the Yankees lol.  I am a big Red Sox fan but I also always loved the Orioles, Cal Ripken Jr is my all time fav player. I have his autographed baseball and a couple cards and I have his brothers card that has not nice words written on the end of his bat lol. I also have a card with both of them and their dad all playing/coaching on the field at the same time :-)

Ladies, Lala Ribbon Queen-- PIR Ribbons makes beautiful ribbons for you all to wear to PIR.  Please click on her icon in the post 3 below this one and look at the pictures of them/contact info.  She is very prompt in getting these made and shipped to you.  Having been on this site even longer than Lala has (she has been on for a little over 2 yrs, me over 2.5 yrs), I can say that there have been many satisfied customers!   So, take a look and contact her if you are interested.  Her contact info is on her page.

Betsy:  I still remember the feeling I had back in 2009 when my older son moved to an apt and my sailor son left two weeks later for bootcamp...and it was then just the dogs and me here.  I had a really hard time.  My sailor son had lived out of town for 1.5 yrs before he moved back home during DEP.  So I then had both boys here for 10 mos at the same time...got used to it...then...nothing.  UGH!

By the time I got used to living alone, and actually learned to enjoy it, my older son's condo that he was renting was a short-sale...and I suggested he move back home rather than jump into a new lease somewhere...he had only 4 days to move out.  He is saving for a house.  So....now he has been here for 10 months...but is hardly ever home.  But anyway, I have gotten use to him being here at night at least...and when he moves out...will have to get used to being alone all over again!  Sigh....the price we ladies pay for our kids!  :-)

Lala, that would be quite a detour, lol.  Well regardless of the detour, I'm not sure that you would allow my husband in your house as he's not a baseball fan at all.  There are no worries about him being a Yankees fan though, since he lives with me and I'm born and bred Orioles all the way.  :)  If he wants to continue to stay married to me, rooting for the Yankees would not be a good option.  :)

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on June 10, 2012 at 8:03pm

The only thing wrong with that trip is you are not coming anywhere near NC lol. So take a long detour, bring your hubby's to my house and they can stay with my hubby. There is a  prerequisites though, they have to be Red Sox fans not Yankee Fans lol.

Comment by Betsy, mom of Stennis sailor on June 10, 2012 at 6:51pm

That's a great plan, OmahaRudy.  You could convince your husband easily since it  wouldn't even interfere with your travel plans for your sailor's PIR since I will be coming out that way in mid July.  :)
