Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Yes, i've enjoyed the letter! read it 3 times already :)  the div and ship are the same but he added USS John F. Kennedy to the first line and seperated the div and ship....?  I guess I'll continue to use the same address that i've had

amberose is right, amy.  My son sometimes had a different return address too (zip code was different...last 4 numbers).  Continue to use the form letter address. The ship/div # is the important part.

Amyj96...your son left at the same time my son left and he is in the same DIV/Ship as my son! Hopefully I will get a letter when I get home from work today.

Is it the same Ship/Division?  If so, keep using the address that was given to you in your PIR letter.

Got a letter!!!!  hopefully, someone can help with a question.  The return address is not the same as the one on the box or the form letter so it's not the one i've been using to mail letters.  Should I change to this 'new' address?

thx lisarobin i hope so it took me 4 days from postmark to get the form letter so you would be right lol if he mailed it out sunday thx so much
