We LOVE everything you veterans are doing for us!  Thank you!!!  :-D

Hoping for letters for you all this week!  lisarobin:  I think you are absolutely correct that they were too busy to write, and also...they were training their mail petty officer who will handle the mail...since this is a "federal" job.

Yes, to add on to what FTLW said below, start your div dicussion group above but stay on this main board if you have questions and for info.  We veterans do not have time to make the rounds through the discussion groups for questions.  We are on all of the active PIR groups, and more, so it can get a bit busy!

SHIP 11 DIV 244 ladies...may I invite you to start your discussion forum? One of you take the plunge and go for it!

Stay on the main page here for your TG info and questions and...well just about anything! Then connect even more with others from your DIV.

I don't think there was anything to do with punishment as far as that first Sunday. I think it was because they were so busy in processing that there wasn't time except for the note he put at the bottom of the form letter.

I hate to hear that any of the recruits lost letter writing time as punishment. I know it wasn't that long ago that I heard they would not loose that privilege. They write letters on Sundays during what is called holiday time. The have to use that time for writing, shinning boots, church, a little longer shower, and other things. The RDC's are not even there on Sundays from what I have been told. But I guess they can and do threaten them with whatever they can.

Just to reiterate what Amberrose said, my son said except for the few words he put in the form letter, he wasn't allowed or able to write until the second Sunday. It was mailed that Monday and I received it this past Thursday. If the same routine holds, either Amberrose or I or both might get a letter by the end of this week.
