My nephew is an Air Rescue Swimmer as well, and has been assigned to Ship 4, Div 817.
I want to let you ladies know that I know what you're going through. I went down this road a year and a half ago when my son signed up for the Navy. The Navyformoms website was a lifesaver for me. I enjoyed myself so much and made some dear friends through this website. We kept each other informed the entire time and still maintain contact. I can share what information I learned through the process.
My youngest sister is the primary contact, as my nephew's mother (my younger sister) passed away over four years ago. I know she received the Sailor-in-a-box on Thursday, 6/16 (he left Sacramento on 6/10). I did not receive my first letter from my son until 15 days after he left for boot camp. Hopefully, you ladies will receive something by the end of this week.
Not to worry The raysmom, he will get his chance to show what a good leader he is. Especially during battlestations. It is all about teamwork and knowing in each situation who the best leader among them is. I am sure he will do well at bootcamp :-)
Lisa, I am sure that is will help and when he sees so many others sporting those awesome BCG glasses and their shaved heads he won't feel so self concious. I think maybe that look is starting to catch on lol.
Thanks for all the insight
Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons - My son is also very social loves to lead and is ready to help. This are great attributes but not so sure how about it at BC he could get in trouble with each on depending on how uses them. I can't wait till I get a letter and see how he is
Diannep- my son and I talked a lot about him doing things that would get him in trouble and end up punishing his Div. I hope he remembers as one slip and I know he would not do well watching others suffer for his actions. He learns fast so he should be ok.I hope
So question I looked on the Battle stations forum. What exactly is brother Div. Do they work together on tasks or compete against each other. With the term brothers can't be too sure.© 2024 Created by Navy for Moms Admin. Powered by
