theraysmom--All I know is that my son is in division 817 and he has a special ops dive contract.  They 800 division numbers mean they are divers of some speciality or another. At least, that is what I was told.

I noticed that some div are for specific groups. Are they all like that? If they are can I find out what my sons div means on my own or do I have to wait until he writes and tells me?

Does anyone have a loved on in Ship 11 Div 244. I was hoping someone would start  a group for PIR 08/05/2011, Thanks. I will be here regularly here as I see all the great veterans coming to help us get to where they are. I am so happy to have a date to plan for. The only other thing i need is a letter from my son. Which I know won't come for a while.

Hello ladies, another "veteran" mom here.  I'm Betsy and will also be here to help. This website was a Godsend when my son went through BC and I am still a regular on here, helping with the groups and still keeping in touch with my Navy mom friends.  My son graduated from BC in Dec. 2010, but is still waiting for his A school to start in Pensacola.  Don't panic, though because it doesn't take that long for them to start A school.  He was re-classed about a month ago from Aviation to CTT, lol.  I have been on Navy4moms for just about a year now, since I began when my son was a depper.  We also have a future son in law who is also a sailor.  He is on a nuke sub in Hawaii and my daughter just moved there in May to be with him.  Welcome to the journey!  It will be an exciting one for sure.
