Hmmmm.....not sure you can copy it.  Probably not. I assume it is copyrighted by the photographer.  May want to order a few copies!

Thank you diannep that was a sweet comment she is a great girl.  One more question, can you copy the DVD once you get it or should he get several copies as everyone will want one.
Comment by diannep on June 17, 2011 at 2:07pm

Yes, lisarobin:  There is a PIR DVD.  Ask your SR to order it with the pictures.  We suggest Pkg A of pictures ("free" yearbook for them if they order it)...$140 which is a bit pricey, but worth it.  The PIR DVD can be ordered at that time.  It is $29.  At least, it used to be!  I guess prices can change at any time!  :-)

Love the "tag team" idea!  You girls are going to be great "mother hens" on your group!  That is wonderful!

Welcome to our newest PIR group. I am Lala the Ribbon Queen lol. I have been on this site over a year and I have been helping answer questions ever since my daughter had PIR July 23rd last year. She is now finished with schooling and at her first duty station in VA. All of us (veteran moms) have had different experiences with our Sailors and we are here to answer questions and help guide you on this sometimes wonderful, sometimes stressful, and always changing, journey. There is no such thing as a dumb question so, like Diannep said, if you want to know something just ask. That is why we are here. :-) Welcome!!!

Thank you diannep! It always helps to have ya'll around. We are tag teaming because amberrose is my future daughter in law! She is the brains of our team though. I follow her lead. :.)  I do have a question, will they have videos of the pir for purchase?  I will take my camera that does both but I will probably be so excited I forget to film!

Comment by diannep on June 17, 2011 at 10:34am

Hey, ladies.  A veteran mom here joining to help with questions.  Please ask.  Others like JessicabSailor, Lala, Betsy, fireteamleaderwife, etc (all veterans) will be joining soon.  amberrose, thanks for starting the group!  Please drop into BootCamp Moms often and post your link to this page so other ladies can find you.  Once the letters start arriving with ship/div numbers, they will be looking!

Thanks again, and remember...we are here to help!

Hey Amberrose! Leave it to you to get us a group started! Hoorah!  I sent you a pdf of the letter from our navy man to your gmail acct.  I sent to both you and his dad so that is why it was generic.  I am excited!
