I completely agree we should keep this alive!  Was a pleasure meeting some of you at the Meet and Greet.  You know what they say, "Make new friends, but keep the old".  :-)

How should we rename the group?

Mostele, I looked for you and was sorry that we couldn't meet up.  But, we should continue to keep in touch!  Congratulations to Mike for making Honor Grad!!!

I'm having a difficult time letting go of this group, too, and would be pleased if we can keep it active.  Such strong connections should not be broken!

I agree with fireteamleaderwife. We have been through so much together these last few weeks.Even though my son didn't PIR on 08/05, he finished 4 days late, he was still a part of that group and I was a part of this group. I think it would be great to check in every once in a while and see how everyone is doing.

I'm so sorry that I didn't get to meet you all. I was really busy that evening, I did not end up getting a hotel room so I was not in the area, and was unable to attend the meet and greet. I hope all of you had a wonderful PIR and time with your sailor. My son Mike was an Honor Graduate for 11/244 - complete suprise, but a pleasant one! He is listed on the site currently, 2nd from the top. I just wanted you all to know that I couldn't have survived this bootcamp experience having so limited information, if it wasn't for all of you, especially Clarkedu, CorysNavymom, and BSteele... and all of my other moms who held me together through this process. Hope I did the same for you. I wish you and your new sailor luck and best wishes in their new journeys... I'll be burning the blue candle...

Okay, I came back briefly to tell you that you do NOT have to disban. You can keep this group going if you like! A suggestion would be to change the name (the 07/01 calls theirs Centennial PIR (07/01/2011)). Amberrose or one of her admins can do it for you!

Good Luck!

I don't get why this group should disban. Nothing wrong with having several boards to check into. So many made connections, would be nice to see updates.

Thank you so much! Good luck to you all also. :o)

Tonya, I looked for you at PIR but I didn't see you.  It was hard to see anything through all of the tears.  I actually never cry but this last few months has been something else for me.  Good luck to you and your beautiful family.

I am going to miss this group.  So glad that I got to meet some of you face to face and sorry that I was unable to get together with others.  I will "see" some of you on Nuke Moms and hopefully others elsewhere here and there on N4M.  My unending gratitude goes out to each and every one of you, for the support and camaraderie over these past couple months.  I can't imagine how I would have survived boot camp without you!
