Letters came from Cory today. He made it through hell week (which means ladies that Hell week is over ;-) and says his division has earned three of four flags. They didnt get the scholar flag. But he said HE will be carrying one of the flags for his division at PIR. Wow. Im excited. Front and center! So...is this cause he's short he'll be carrying a flag? LOL. What determines who carries? Just curious.

He says he has passed everything and thinks he did really good at the gun range. I think he's actually much happier now. Its a relief to hear that in him! He is NOT happy with his recruiter right now for having basically lied to him about being able to secure a job in boot camp. He doesnt want to be undesignated. I dont think it will be half as bad as Im sure he's hearing horror stories about maybe from other recruits who heard stories.

Unfortunitely my son is under the impression ALSO from what others SR's (who heard from others who already graduated) have told him...that he can get full liberty over the weekend after grad. Like NOT return back to baracks at night. I now need to write to him and let him know its NOT allowed. ugh. Would rather he know now, i think, than crush him when we get there. yes? no?

Also, Cory thinks because another guy doesnt have but two guests coming for PIR that the other guy can give up his spots. Ugh. They dont get full information there and it makes it a little more difficult here. But Im still on plan to get our extra in myself.

Oh and he said they were rewarded with some music over the intercom system thanks to the RDC's. LOL

Im SO glad the weekend is around the corner. It will be full of painting and preping where we are moving the week after we get back from PIR. And then battlestations is on its way. Im pretty sure I know what night they are doing his. And I would assume 244 and a couple others as well.

Collen-I usually don't get letters til Thursday at the earliest, lately it has been Fri or Sat. Maybe the extreme heat is slowing everything even the postal system down! We will have to stalk the mailboxes tomorrow! I still don't know where my SR is going after PIR, hope he tells me in a letter soon or better yet bcalls and tells me!!

Tonya I am so glad he is feeling better!

I am now counting the days to print the parking pass!!

Hi everyone. I checked my mail box today to expect letters from my SR and none where in there i usually get his letters every wednesday unless there is a holiday but i didnt get any. Could there be a reason for this. Should I be worried?
