From what I hear, Battlestations can be anywhere from a week before to a couple of days before PIR.  Please correct me if I am wrong veterans!  :-)

I <3 my Sailor - Maybe your SR might be rewarded for those high marks on the tests.  Congrats to your SR.  Great job!

Well battle stations is the week before right? so I'm guessing because that's the call saying "I'm A Sailor"

Hi everyone, My Sr told me that he would be getting a call because he made a 5.0 on two inspections so he said he would get an hour phone call. He didn't say when that call would happen... So I was wondering if everyone thinks maybe he's talking about the 29th.... I'm not sure if he is or not because they all get the call the 29th, because that's when battle stations is over.

FTLW - Love that. We are glued together. What a perfect way to describe that. I literally feel incomplete. Add on top of that the challenge of trying to explain to my 3 year old why his Daddy is gone. And tell him how much his Daddy still loves him... and listen to him say, "I wish Daddy was here and you were gone." Ugh. It's been a rough month and a half. :o/ But the positive side of this. We are surviving!!! :o)

And yes...it started for Moms...have to have other moms to boo-Hoo to until we get it out of our system...but am so glad that everyone comes here! We're moms, we want EVERYONE to be happy!
We even had a Sailor on our PIR group. His GF was going through BC...she was graduating two years almost to the day he did! He came to the Meet n Greet! Was nice to have him...his mom even chimed in when he tried to recall something...so sweet.

tonya-That is great that they will PCS you!
I have had BOTH these past three months. Son went into the Navy three months into hubby's deployment.
Missing my son...very hard...but part of the process of BOTH of us growing up! There will always be adjustments in our relationship as he goes through his seasons. THAT has been an eye opener for me!
Missing my husband of 30 years...an ache I am not even going to try to define.
Do you know that the Hebrew word for "cleave" (as in leave...and cleave)means "to glue together"? We're not talking Elmers here either! Just like the one meaning of it (Saxon in origin) means to split apart completely, the Hebrew is THAT binding. When I look at my marriage through His eyes the view is MUCH more spectacular! It's precisely that "glue" that kept us together while we were separated.
I got on this site (my first time being on anything like this) to help me get through Boot Camp, I honestly don't know HOW (if any) someone could do it alone...we are not made to go through life alone.
BUT, I got double out of it...as a reservist wife, we are "out of the loop" so to speak, and it helped me to have that "military" connection of others who "get it".
It still does, as we go through post-deployment, reintegration...nice technical terms for "glue".

I agree, CorysNavyMom.  This site is for all ladies (and sometimes men who drop in) who have SRs/sailors!
