Thanks ladies! He is so proud of Daddy... my son Ryver (pronounced River) announced that he was going to get "a sailor haircut since that's just the kind of Navy man I am." And has also decided he wants to be a blue angel pilot when he grows up! :o) Love my boys.

Amberrose - my heart is breaking for you. I missed a call once and it is absolutely devestating!! Praying that you will hear from him again soon!

Amberrose...so sorry hun. That just stinks! I know you have got to be kicking yourself because I'd feel exactly the same! Theraysmom...it is hard. Ladies...we are almost there! We can do this!!! Lets busy ourselves with stuff at home and letters to our SRs and rejoice in the divisions that are graduating and their news because SOON it will be OUR time! And...lets keep reminding each other what our SRs are doing right about now. Like I think they are heading into fire fighting training and....the dreaded gas chamber. ugh. LOL.

I know for me its time to dive into packing for a move the weekend after we get back from PIR and planning my packing for PIR and also I have TWO kids going to camp...one leaves right before we leave for PIR the other is being taken to the bus for camp while we are away at PIR. Plus...my 11 month old turns ONE the day we are driving to PIR (that Thursday) ... so we are going to do a small family celebration the night before and just enjoy the time we have with him on Thursday until we drop him off. Ok...I'm rambling now. Sorry. Off to bed.

so glad people are getting more calls! I really hope I get one from my SR soon since i missed his last call it really broke my heart. He called 13 times and left 2 voice mails. My phone was clued to me and the one time i was in a rush and left my phone at home he calls i was so upset and i still get sick to my stomach thinking about it. =[

The voicemail did not reflect anything that actually happened. Guess I just learned my first tough lesson on being a spouse in the Navy. 19 days though.

i received a call from my SR today!  Caught me off guard!  I was not expecting one....but he apparently "won" a phone call...?....it was only 5 min and he talked so fast that i'm not sure he even took a breath!  He had so many ?'s for me :)  But it was wonderful hearing from him :)  ship 09 div 248
