Thank you Amberrose and Diannep...I just miss him a lot tonight but it does help to 1) Have a place to come to talk and 2) that others totally get it. On a funnier note...I just came out of my 7 year old and 11 month olds room and my 13 year old jumped out and scared the poo right out of me. He thought it was so funny he was in tears laughing. And this thought came to my mind...we spend their teen years threatening them with boot camp...once we get them there we miss them like crazy LOL. I never actually threatened my SR with boot camp but his 15 year old brother I have LOL. Ironically the 15 year old is the one who's talked about going in the military sense he was little. Until 10th grade I'd of never pictured Cory (my SR) in the military and then until just six months ago he was on the path to the Coast Guard. NOT the Navy. I'm a VERY proud Navy mom though! This boy fought very hard to get here! And he never gave up!!!

Yep, CorysNavyMom, I agree with amberrose.  That's what this site is for!  Vent, share, cry, cheer...whatever you are feeling!  I know one lady only got one call from her son during the entire 8 weeks.  I'm sure she understands how you are feeling!

Just try to cling to this...."A" School is SO much better!  You have CONTACT again...once they have their cells, you can text, call, email, etc....it is wonderful.  So just remember...this seems like forever to you right now....but in the scheme of things...it is brief...and you will have contact again....well....until they are deployed....but even then, they usually can email some....  :-)

Vent any time you like!  Do you feel better now?????  Just a little bit????  Wish we could get those calls coming right now for you....sigh....

CorysNavyMom, don't ever think it isn't ok to vent! That is what we all are here for! I'd like to think we are all like a little family here. *hugs*. I personally had one of those moments this past week... I am sure we all do. It is such a blessing to have a place like this forum to talk and discuss with likeminded individuals going through the same things.

Update ladies! Just read a post on RTC Facebook page that the random photos may be returning Monday!!

Let's make sure that we help a sister out just in case newcomers don't know the rules about requesting photos of particular divisions on Facebook. :-D

I don't think I've really complained much here. But tonight I just needed to vent a little if that's ok. It just seems to have hit me tonight for some reason. I just would like a decent conversation with my son. So far he's had a 10 minute (was less that I talked to him as he tried to call his girlfriend after me) call he was allowed to make. I got like 3 minutes last week but that was earned by someone else who gave it to him to call his girlfriend and she didn't answer. He's been there for five weeks. I would think it would be good for them to talk to home once a week. Or heck, once every two weeks. I hear others talk about their 40 minute phone call. Ugh. I'm glad other SRs are getting to call home. But its frustrating that my sr's division hasn't really had a chance. Maybe there are some from our PIR group who haven't heard anything and I should be greatful. And don't get me wrong, I love that I have heard his wonderful voice...I just wait and hope everyday like all of you do and tonight it just got to me more.
