CorysNavyMom-That is wonderful to hear about your SR. Yeah, mine told me about the "lines" too...

That is sad about the medical discharge...I know of at least two ( there were probably more) in my sons PIR. One was the young man that traveled with him from our home town...he had been on DEP for a year...the other was like the one you mentioned...older (30's) and wanted "it" bad. He became VERY ill. It can change the mood as they "feel" it for the one that they lose and at the same time hopefully the "good" that comes out of it is that they "see" that need to bond even more. That they see the example that he set.

My Sailor did not always remember names before he left for BC, but he did the older gentleman who left. He told my son that he had to stand strong and promise to finish BC. I know that that stayed with him. I thank him in my heart and wish him good health and a good future.

bobbie:  Just heard from a lady whose son tries the run again in the morning and if he passes it, he will go through BattleStations tomorrow night (with next PIR group) and be at his PIR.  That is usually the way it is done.  Maybe we are talking about the same person???  :-)

bobbie:  Unless they have changed what they have done in the past, if he passes the run in the morning, he would go through BattleStations that night.  That is what has happened in the past.

Great news, lisarobin!
