Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 303 and 304

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Good to meet you! Now my mom ISN'T going...LOL! It's ok though. I'm totally ok with going alone. Absolutely understand... I wouldn't miss it either! I just can't wait to see my boy! He is 20. Wow, sad he wasn't home for his birthday, but I suppose there will be a lot of those, huh? But, there futures are bright and they'll do well! My son is going in as a Nuke, so he'll be leaving for South Carolina for A School. What's your son going in as?

We live in a rural/farm area about 30 miles south of Seattle, it's Edgewood. I'm trying to stay at Gateway Inn, but they have to do a background check (no big) so not sure they'll be done with that in time. I kept my other rez at Navy Lodge, just in case and will cancel there if all goes well. I actually fly in at 4:40 AM on Thursday to O'Hare... I'm hoping to miss rush hour in Chicago that way. Shouldn't be an issue. When do you come in? Is anyone coming with you?

Hi everyone!  Reading these posts bring back a flood of emotions for me.  I was in your shoes last year at this time!!  My son PIR last August and now my nephew is in ship 3 right now!!  It was the longest, hardest 8 weeks of my life!  This site was my lifeline.  I'm praying for all of you and your sailors.!

My daughter is ship 03 DIV 303 w PIR 8/16/13 as well
Hi Lisa. Have you received phone calls or letters from your SR? How is she liking BC? I was hoping for a call today, so far not yet.
Im glad she doesn't seem to be the only one who didn't call! I've gotten letters but none for a week now. I'm writing every day. How about you?
Lisa: I write every day as well. Last week when I talked to my son he said they still did not have a designated mail person, so mail was being delivered sporadically. I hope that has been worked out this week! I have sent literally 30. I had everyone at his going away party write him a note of encouragement. So, I had a lot to mail out. He said in his last letter he had received 7 letters, but was only opening one a day to spread them out. : (

Hi lisa I didn't get a call either :(  my son prob called his girlfriend.  He's ship o3 div303. We ll hang in there together :)

Just got a call from my SR ship 03 Div 303!! Sounded good, but tired! They had a long run just prior to their call.
I got a letter from my son. He said they received (ship 3) received a academic flag. He followed with several exclamation points!!! Don't know exactly what that means though. Lol

If a small group is graduating will they allow more than the three members to attend graduation ceramony

Hey Kelly! Yay on the academic flag. I'm not sure either about what that is, but it sounds good!!

My son also called Saturday at about 6:15 in the evening. (We are in the central time zone also) He sounded to be in better spirits than last week when he called.

Thanks for posting this. Anna

Anna: absolutely. It is nice to be able to share info our SR's send. My SR said all but one person in their division passed! That is pretty darn great and impressive. Some of the stuff he has told me is hysterical. For instance when they are bored and they sing Taylor Swift songs. Lol. Anything to pass the time.
