Hi ladies, just got my "Im a SAILOR" call. He said all of DIV 285 pass. I'm so proud of him.

Jenelle & Diannep Thanks so much for you help!   He keeps saying he will be fine by then, but I'm insisting we follow whatever the doctor's orders are on Tuesday when we see him. He may lighten his restrictions but thought I should prepare just in case. We're staying at the Residence Inn but he should be fine getting around there - its just the long walks and climbing bleachers I'm worried about. After posting on here I did find the information about the public affairs office and sent an email, but that was so nice of you to call and ask for me.  You guys are so amazing on here!  I hope I can give back someday like you're doing.

Mia and ShelMaq, I hope you get your phone calls. Try not to worry too much. Remember, no news is good news.  Also, there are very few phones in boot camp. What happens a lot is that there is not enough time for everyone to call home. If your SR did not pass his/her PFA and was not going to make PIR then believe me, you will hear about it. A few times POA or SR have failed to notify families but this is rare.

The only phone call I got from my son during the last week of boot camp was the "I'm a Sailor Call."

If your Sailor does not pass Battle Stations which is unlikely. He will do Battle Stations the next night.  In my son's division 2 recruits failed BS. This was because they fell asleep. Falling asleep is the reason a SR would fail but it is unlikely. Try not to worry.

anyone from ship 11/div 283 received calls?

I hope it comes today.

Hey, Diannep!

I was pregnant with my twins, that are now 18 and here in BC,, well, one left anyway. So, that was quite some time ago! My husband volunteered to clean up down where you were at...I'll never forget the footage of that devastation and one thing that I'll never forget is the Hellicopters that went back and forth down to Miami to bring supplies and help....they went back and forth for days!

Huge Army planes as well! One wonders why we stay!!!!! But than no matter where you go, there are all kinds of natural disasters happening.....Any one get their "Sailor call" yet? I'm at the edge of my seat waiting...well, I'm actually now getting ready to pack up his civilian clothes and my daughters as well...she wants like her entire closet! Can they  really keep all that there at the GL???? I keep telling her to minimize...
