I am truly blessed.  I have 28 year old triplet daughters, a son 25, my SR is 22 and a son 15 and daughter 12.  The last two were adopted so my SR was my 'baby" for several years before the last two came along. As we're getting down to the wire, I just want to say thank you to all of you, especially the veteran moms.  I knew boot camp was tough on recruits but never guessed it would be so tough on moms.  Finding all of you, going through the same thing, sharing information and supporting one another was truly a sanity saver!

Candace, that is awesome, thanks so much for sharing. And the mermaid is very cool and a very thoughtful gift. I know you are so proud ;-) Good to hear about happy ribbon dancing lol, They really do look much better in person don't ya think?

TxTwins: Keep looking for that form letter.  The PW isn't supposed to be shared...and I'm not even sure the whole PIR group has the same one?  Anyway, when you get the I'm a Sailor call, ask your sailor because they know it.  Hope you find the letter before then though!  If you take the shuttle to PIR, you don't need the gate pass.  When you return your sailor, you would just drop him off at the front gate.  But I have a feeling you will get that gate pass....so don't worry.

LalaRibbonQueen,,,,I'm doing the happy ribbon dance...lol  I got my ribbons today and they are absolutely beautiful!  I wore mine to my daughter's school open house tonight.  When I came home I taped one to each of my blue candle holders and lit my candles.  Hopefully, I attached the photo correctly.  The Mermaid in between the candles was my Mother's Day present from my son.  My nickname is Merm (short for Mermaiden) - long story, but I collect Mermaids.  I have 7 kids and I love them all, but I had never received a gift that had demonstrated so much thought and desire to find the most meaningful gift.
