I would love to know the sched or battlestations for 11/283 as well.
My son i in 7/ 289.. I get letters now every thursday. but no phone call now in 2 weeks. Im about to cry myself to death. Sept 1st can not get here fast enough.
Me and my husband are staying at Ramada , so im looking forward to meet and greet. and I hope we get several days with our Sailor, cause we making it our once in life time vacation too , staying til sunday. I miss my Jacob, I sure hope they all are doing well.. Lets keep praying moms and dads, brothers and sisters.. etc, they need us.. Love u jake..
Sorry I was MIA today, I spent the whole day working on the PIR ribbons. :-)
My sailor is coming home for Labor day and they are going to have a real wedding for their first anniversary. (they got married at the court house while she was in A-school, 4 days before her hubby went to boot camp.) Nothing like short notice lol. Lots of planning and lots of phone calls not enough time for invitations lol.
I hope everyone had a great day.
sdfavors: This group will start BattleStations towards the end of next week. They will continue at the beginning of PIR week. Most final tests will be next week, I think. Yes, once they pass their final tests, they are ready for BattleStations. The lower-numbered divisions complete training first and go through BattleStations first.
Speaking of that, ladies, it is time to be asking for BattleStations dates. Your SRs should be aware of them now...or soon. We cannot post them on the site, but you can message them out. So please use the "Send Message to Group" prompt at the top and message any dates you get. I will start a schedule! I will then send it out to you all. They most likely will start a week from Thurs.
btw, right when the grad ceremony is over....you need to have a plan with your SR. For example, where will you meet when they call LIBERTY....you must establish a plan with them. Our was that she was going to stand right where she was in her div. They post a sign before PIR, when you are walking in, which div will be standing where, so you can sit in front of them...thats the easy part. So when the ceremony is over, if they stand somewhat in that square, you can find them. Our problem was that we planned that but here's what happened really.....the walk in with their rain jackets folded in their hands, they march to their spot and than a SR goes around and hands them that jacket for the PIR and than at the END, the SR's HAVE to go fetch their rainjackets or they will get in trouble if they don't have it back in their hands.
So, Courtney went to find hers and we didn't know she was taking off to do that and we were like Where did she go????? So we sort of panicked...but she was only a few people away from us... 1003 graduates, 2000 parents flocking on the floor is Bedlam....literally. you need to say to your SR where you want to meet after they get their Rain Gear back, they will absolutely know what you are talking about....they are going to say,,,hey how do you know that...well, a wise ole bird told me to get it straight so the parents don't have a cow! TRUST ME on this one!
Anyone heard from their SR from Ship 11 Div 281?
Any phone calls? Received letters. Everyone is pretty much over sickness and gonna be a tough last two weeks. Gotta buckle down and work even harder to get thru this part of the journey. Best of luck to all!!
Wow...Jenelle, thank you so much for the information..how exciting is all of that. So much to think about and your right, I thought to myself how will we find him through the crowd afterwards..Looking forward to the Meet N Greet too the night before so meet everyone that we have been talking to..Best of luck to your kids..How proud you are to have "not one but two". You got to be a nervous wreck..
