FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I got letters today, my SR has been sick but hopefully is feeling better. He is a flag holder for his drill team team. : )     So thats good news.   So Proud of him, they also did very well in marlinspike.

I'm so exited to finally have our reservations set and my beautiful Lala Ribbons on their way!  I'm from that area in Illinois and haven't been back in almost 30 years so its a double thrill to experience my son's PIR and see family and friends.  I miss him so much. I'm so glad I found this site to listen to other moms go through the same thing I am at the same time and not feel so all alone.

At Lala Ribbon Queen PIR  Beautiful ribbons can I order I need 5 of them m SR son is in DIV 819. One side is the last name and the other the DIV  #?.Please send me an email with info to order ASAP

More ribbons for this group were shipped today. Here is a sneak peak of one with a first name. Sorry I can post pics of all the ribbons. Please let me know when the ribbons arrive and let me know what you think of them. I hope everyone has gotten letters this week and if not I hope you get at least one tomorrow :-)

WOW. that is great to carry the flag!! Yeah, hope they are all over their sickness. Poor things..Congrats!! Cant wait to see my son..he is the leader of ship 11 Division 281..

Carrying the flag is quite an honor! They will be right out in front so it'll be easier to spot our SR in the sea of white! lol. Congrats!
