Morning All,
My son is Ship 11 Div 283 and it is a ghost town over there, I guess that's why most of us are on here from that group.
I haven't heard from son since the phone call I received last Wednesday. I am comforted by thinking that NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS to diannep-veteran. I will just continue to pray, send letters, and just look forward to seeing my son on 9/1. I am doing well with adjusting to my son being gone because I know he is serving his country and starting on his career path as an adult and joining the NAVY is a decision he and I thought was great. Anyways, just stopping thru to say HI and hope everyone have a wonderful day.
GO NAVY ! ! !
The RDCs will use anything they can to motivate your SRs...including telling them that they are the worst division they have ever had, the worst one in their PIR group, etc...This group still has a couple of more weeks before the "turnaround" week (usually week 4) when they have already accomplished alot and see the light at the end of the tunnel Hang in there, ladies...they are still in the "breakdown" phase of bootcamp. Then starts the "build up" stage...and that is when it gets better. Send lots of encouragement all of the time....and no negative news....at all!
Remember...NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS in the Navy. If they are asmoed (setback) for any reason, you will be called.
It's not easy...we veterans have all been where you all are...I cried many tears and even got frustrated with mine...but they get through it.
Pray hard and keep those letters going!
I'm finding that it doesn't really matter what Div I choose to chat in because everyone is going through the same things. It amazes me how many say the same thing I'm thinking or just about to say. I've been doing good with my daughter being gone, but for some reason today I've been kinda weepy. Songs on the radio, random pieces of clothing around the house, I'm just having a bad day. I miss her so much. And I also realized today that this is a permanent state of being. She isn't coming home after graduation either. I mean, I knew that of course, I think I'm just having a delayed reaction to her leaving. When my three boys left and went into the military it wasn't as bad as this is.
I've found that this PIR date is very random...like many don't really go onto their Div to chat and want to keep it open to everyone. My son is in 11/283 and it's like a ghost town there, like 4 members?
My daughter is in 10/289 PIR 8/12 and there are a ton of members? has been for a while.
So, what's up with this PIR...do we know how many DIV are in this PIR?
Anyone here want to move over to 11/283? Either way, it is nice to share what goes on in a particular DIV....but I can stay here as well.
