With a group as large as this one, I agree with Dianne and I would try to get there as early as possible.  They will open the gates at 7, but some of the shuttles leave the hotels as early as 6:30a.m.  I would take advantage of the early shuttles, if you can.  I know the Residence Inn's first shuttle left the hotel at 6:30a.m. and we were the first one's in line to go into the hall.

PIR actually starts at 9.  Goes until 10:30.  You need to be there by about 7 - 7:30 if you want good seating within your division section.  With 13 divisions, it will be very full!  They have pre-PIR things going on for you.

Does anyone know what time the PIR starts and what time we need to be there. I'm staying in downtown chicago. They say to allow 90 minutes to get to great lakes from downtown. I rented a car. Thanks! I love hearing from everyone.

One of the things to remember about getting letters saying they are sick, homesick, etc. is that by the time you get the next one everything is okay and you have worried for nothing.  Just tell yourself that if anything was really wrong you would be notified, no news is good news.

Ladies,

I have set up your Meet N Greet.

Here is the link:

http://www.navyformoms.com/events/pir-09-01-11-meet-and-greet

Then everyone from this group may go there to RSVP for the M & G. ANYONE may attend...the Ramada does this for every PIR group as a courtesy, it is free. Those staying at the Ramada will get a voucher for two free drinks and they have a cash bar. They do not mind if you bring in a water or soft drink with you. The RSVP just helps them get a head count so they know how much food to prepare. But I am sure they make a bit extra!

Here is the info:

I will add this about the list. If one person is listed and then at the last minute can't come and you take someone else instead, just tell them when you check in the name of the person who was on the list that could not come and tell them the name of the person who came instead. We did this and they marked off the name of my Sailors brother and added the name of her Grandfather. It wasn't a problem at all for us. And we surprised her with her grandpa being able to come.
